You calmly ask for explanation.

Lady Alissa tries to defend herself somehow and insinuate things, but that only infuriates you more. With no hesitation you make it clear to her that if she wants to make enemy of you (and entire Empire), she is on a very good road in achieving it, and Pantheon help her if she does. You tell her in no terms you won't accept such meddling and rousing against your person, especially your children.
Teary-eyed, Lady Alissa quickly apologizes, and even smooches your hands. Next day you hear news that she is packing herself and her sons to live with some noblewoman friend of hers who has a small estate (and few unmarried daughters) in western Felonsein, far away from your palace.
Soon you hear the court murmuring; they're actually impressed that a honey-lipped snake like Lady Alissa has been ousted by you. A minor thing, one could say, but it gains you some respect and strengthens your authority in the court.

After you put the (finally asleep) Cylia to her little bed, you walk out of the door, only to find the Advisor stopping in front of you with certain Scrolls of Kingdom Status under his arms.

"Lady Empress, your peoples are still the happiest people around, and once again, they want to share their wealth with the Crown. Might I point that due to various expenses and lower trade profits, our Treasury is emptier than usually. It wouldn't be anything untoward your people if we accept the gold and tax them too."
A) "Nah, let's just accept the donations."
B) "Yes, donations and raised tax will secure our Treasury."
C) "Nah, we will spend money on poor and sick!"
"While the Army is slowly recuperating from the losses in Parsia and elsewhere, the Authority of Lady Empress is still sky high. Mayhaps an Edict this year, Lady Empress?"
A) "About time I stamp some papers!"
B) "No, we don't need any Edicts."
