It seems that the miners have trouble excavating the same amount of gold ore as in previous years. All prognosis points to the inevitable exhaustion of the mines, which might happen within a decade. The manager is asking whether they should scale down bullion production to extend the life of the mines.

A) I will send you money and supplies so you find me more gold! More gold I say!!
B) Better twenty years of some gold, rather than ten years of prosperity and ten years of nothing.
C) Nah, just keep mining, we make enough money to afford this loss.
