Seeing as the panthiests only won because they led the petite to riot in mass, giving those people more rights only hurts ourselves. Not the clergy.

The clergy has never had any innate authority over the people anyways. That's *our* advantage.

Endorse State Patronage of Arts. First it's rights then next thing you know they want things like representation and voting! We should never let the disgusting institutions of Republicanism into our Empire. The peasants know nothing of rulership and honor! Perhaps I'd be down for giving our beloved Soldiers rights or some other privilege as a reward for their service but I don't trust the peasants after they've shown their disloyal nature. We should temporarily hold our battle against the clergy anyways, at least until we have unified with the north, who we know are staunch pantheonists.

Continuing it right now is only a good way of stabbing our own backs.

I'm of the opinion that having been crushed by the anti freedom of religion backlash we should probably cool off on it for a significant amount of time. Right now the pantheists are ascendant and if they think that our family can't be trusted to serve their religion going forward they might not give us a third chance during the next rebellion.

I think we should give it at least a couple of decades. Wait for some events to pop up naturally that'll weaken their hold. A heresy dividing them or something like that. Then we can start to push back and towards equality.

Not that that's either here nor there. The bill of rights looks to be a very basic edition, probably mostly just standardizing laws that already exist. I doubt it'll suddenly proclaim religious freedom or weaken Panthonists hold.

Has anyone considered Not making an edict? We don't exactly have to do it every time we come to this and it's not as if we urgently need any of these. I don't think now is the time for a bill of rights and I don't think we should do the patronage until we have more money.
