Honestly, as anti-dwarf as I was during Cyl's time, I think we have an opportunity to get in good with them. I think they have many reasons to want to be our friend. We control a powerful and organized trade Empire at what seems to be the center of the human world, are finding strange minerals (sparkly copper and sharp glass) that may be of use to them, and the Eldrican Kingdom, which was once their ally, seems to be converting to The Cult of the Damned, which doesn't care for dwarves.

On top of that, they likely hold self-destruct buttons on two of our artifacts, so we ain't fighting them any time soon.

no, but it talks of them as bankers, which might imply stuff like keeping our gold in their vaults, while getting stuff out of it. Most disastreous would be if they minted coins for us like a central bank, since it would be giving them the key to our very life blood ( I am assuming that everything out of dwarven hands has a self destruct button)

Of course it could just be asking for advice, but I feel that trade is a safer bet with all our trade laws.

I would still vote C, but I would be far less opposed to D if it was just advice rather than direct involvement.

Of course, there is a good chance that their advice would be to let them take over our minting anyway...

Initially you would be inviting them to talk about this and how they can help. Anything more concrete can come only from those talks.

I bet we could also ask the dwarves take some gold out of circulation by taking them up on that gold for steel trade they proposed awhile back. We have two gold mines now, and their previous asking price was the entire yield of one mine. Haspen said it would take five years of that deal to fully equip our army, and since we are scheduled to get 10 years worth of Parsian Gems as tribute, now would be a good time to take it.
