You decide to ask the Evalians to join the fronlines in Parsia.
1166 AD, Mid-Autumn
You hear that talks in the north failed; King Estjald and King Helo of Helliste are again at war.

But that's not all about Cydwyl; during pretty much standard social gathering between nobles, one of your diplomats from the Corps drank a bit too much wine and insulted quite a few people, stopping short of tossing vulgar names at King Estjald's family.
The man has been returned to Methiant and subsequently expelled from Diplomatic Corps, but that won't help matters - the damage has been already done.
Urgent report comes from Parsia; your forces have fought some Gubtan-driven Oliphaunts! Thirty of the beasts, along with fresh Parsian soldiers and Cataphracts assaulted the main body of Methiantese Army.

The battle ended in defeat for your forces, but Methiantese soldiers made sure to kill as many Parsians, their horses and giant Gubtan beasts.
Though that might not help Parsians much; Evalians have asasulted Parsian borderlands in the north along with some soldiers sent by Tiftit garrisons, both to capture the settlements and provide a distraction.
A week later, another battle report arrives.

Another big battle has been fought between Methiant and Parsian armies east of Khosra province, near the town of Shalik. Out of ten thousand participants (with Methiant having an advantage), about two thirds fertilized the dry Parsian soil with their blood. The battle ended in another defeat, but also another slaughter of Parsians.
Still, with the report comes a request for fresh troops.
A) The forces currently busy in northern Parsia will join them.
B) Alright, lets mobilize some trained peasants back into Army.
C) No need for fresh troops; our Army will prevail against all odds!
