Turn 54: Mostly Fighting NPCs

INIT:
NAV/Dave Blade(25)
Person/Raphael(5)
Dancing Grape Golem(12)
GigaGiant/Capko Eagleson(25-20=5)
Yottawhat/Willam A. Drango(77)
ATHATH/Spoopy(25)
Edgar(79)
Frogbear(63)
Failbird105/Rich Maximillian McMoneybags(100!)
Captain America(4)
dustywayfarer/Phlorizin(77)
Empty Metal Armor(64)

Rich Maximillian McMoneybags acted first!
Chainsaw through the room wildly.

Rich pulled out his chainsaw, revved it up, and attacked.

Chainsaw Wildly!(4)

Rich ran all over the place, striking snakes wherever they were found. When he was done, most of the snakes were dead and the rest had long since fled.

Edgar obeyed his master Raphael's orders.
Quote from: Edgar
"Yes sir."
Spoiler: Raphael/Person Only (click to show/hide)

William A. Drango figured there had to be a trick to his revolver.
Time for some loot testing.

Drop my healing longbow then pick it back up, then shoot my revolver and see if the bullet changed in anyway.

William dropped his longbow and picked it back up. He fired a bullet. Nothing seemed different than before about the bullet...

Intuition!(1)

There had to be some trick to it.

Meanwhile, Phlorizin did combat and crafting in the same turn.

Phlorizin wades into one of the bigger piles of scrap, banking on the fact that suit of empty armor is either stationary or has trouble balancing in precarious piles of scrap. He ties the skull-runed whip around the end of the bo-staff, cutting a notch if the first attempt fails. Phlorizin then uses the combination to whale on the vacuous suit from a safe distance.

Phlorizin moved away from the armor. The armor moved to follow.

Follow!(5)

Well, so much for that idea. The armor didn't seem to be having problems balancing. It was metal, the tools were metal, obviously it had a type advantage.

Rapid Crafting!(1)

Phlorizin didn't have much time to craft, and his attempt to create a combination weapon ended in failure.

Critical Fail!(6)

Phlorizin managed to avoid damaging either of his loot, but did unbalance himself, opening himself up to an attack.

Still, though, he took the opportunity to launch a whip strike.

Whip!(6) vs. Dodge!(4-1=3)
Whip!(3, 3 = 3) vs. Resist!(4+1=5)

The whip hit the armor in the head, to no effect. Oddly, Phlorizin felt as if something should have happened.

The Armor moved to attack.
Quote from: Empty Armor
Attack!

Metal Fist!(6) vs. Dodge!(1-1=0)
Metal Fist!(5, 4 = 5) vs. Resist!(2)

Critical Hit!(6)

The armor threw a metal punch, striking Phlorizin dead in the face. It was obvious that such a punch would have the effect of immediate unconsciousness.

Reason!(3) vs. Reason!(1)

Phlorizin was far too dazed to contest the armor's reasoning, and fell unconscious.

Meanwhile, Spoopy's Frogbear launched an attack on Captain America.
Quote from: Frogbear
RAAAAGH!

Maul!(3, 3 = 3) vs. Dodge!(3+1=4)

The Frogbear had plenty of time to aim his attack, but Captain America was just too fast to hit.

Spoopy followed up.
Repeat previous action.
Repeat my previous (cancelled/negated) action.
Ask Captain America why he wants to kill me. If he doesn't give a good reason/continues to attack me/if it would be appropriate, get up and cut Captain America with my knife.

Stab!(4) vs. Dodge!(6+1=7)

Spoopy tried to stab Captain America from behind, but he was far too quick and blocked with his shield, then immediately counterattacked.

Shield to the Face!(5+1=6) vs. Dodge!(3)
Shield to the Face!(1+1=2) vs. Resist!(2-1=1)

Captain America hit Spoopy in the face with his shield, which hurt but didn't do much else.

Meanwhile, Dave Blade was testing loot. His Dancing Grape Golem was assisting.
Dave Blade knows that knowledge is power. He is not willing to give his opponents any power. Which is why he is still Private Messaging.

Raphael watched as his minion did stuff.

Capko Eagleson wanted his mace back.
Raise my hand to the sky, look upward, and yell as loud as I can: "Foggy Mace! Return to your master!"

If nothing happens, then search for a new weapon.

Capko shouted to the heavens!

Who Hears You!(2)

Spoopy thought he heard someone shouting about a mace. He was a little busy, though.

Capko looked about for a new weapon.

Search!(4)

There was a nonfunctional clockwork chainsaw, one of many, lodged in the ground nearby. Capko claimed it. It would be a good bludgeon, at least.

Captain America launched his attack! The bear was the threat here!
Quote from: Cap America
Ugggh...

Fist!(5+1=6) vs. Bear!(4)

Captain America's accurate fist struck out at the Frogbear...

Fist!(6+1=7) vs. Bear!!(4)

And finally annoyed it.

Well shit. At this point, I'm just going to reload my revolver and look for a monster to fight.

Search for something I can use to fix the chainsaw. If I find nothing, then practice wielding the chainsaw like a mace.

ATHATH has decided to drop out, unfortunately.

Turn 55: Conflict Intensifies

INIT:
NAV/Dave Blade(68)
Person/Raphael(32)
Dancing Grape Golem(13)
GigaGiant/Capko Eagleson(82-20=62)
Yottawhat/Willam A. Drango(87)
ATHATH/Spoopy(81) ((soon to be Nikola))
Edgar(37)
Frogbear(27)
Failbird105/Rich Maximillian McMoneybags(4)
Captain America(69)
dustywayfarer/Phlorizin(10, 12 = 10)
Empty Metal Armor(92)

The Empty Metal Armor that was Phlorizin's bane would have smiled if it had a biological face.
Quote from: Empty Metal Armor
Attack! Put him down for good!

FIST!(4) vs. Dodge!(0)

The armor had all the time in the world to line up a perfect strike.

FIST!(4, 2 = 4) vs. Resist!(6)

It seemed, though, when Phlorizin fell unconscious, his staff fell on his face and covered it. The punch struck the staff, cracking it instead of Phlorizin's skull. The crack in the staff promptly started leaking magic. Of course.

Smarts?!(4)

The armor realized it could take advantage of this. If a magical item was leaking energy, that clearly meant it was unstable. It could even explode.

Logic!(5)

The staff promptly exploded.

Armor Luck!(4)

The blast wave of magic exploded over the golem, leaving its plates with little spikes that looked slightly like fur.

Phlorizin Luck!(3)

Phlorizin wasn't as lucky, though he at least was only partially effected. If only he could see himself...

Forced Awakening!(4)

The shock of having his body forcibly altered woke Phlorizin up immediately.

... was that a tail? Claws on his hands? Furry ears on the top of his head? What on earth had happened while he was unconscious, and where had his staff gone!

William A. Drango sought an actual fight.
Well shit. At this point, I'm just going to reload my revolver and look for a monster to fight.

He clicked a new bullet into his revolver, and walked off.

Search For Monsters!(1)

Look Where You're Stepping!(4)

William searched a while, and then noticed he was about to step on a knife. Come to think of it, the floor was covered in knives. Daggers, really. Covering a staircase leading downwards... and he was on the first floor.

Spoopy the Skeleton was feeling weird. He growled in rage at the thought.

He raised his dagger into the air and charged Captain America!

Stab!(4) vs. Dodge!(6+1=7)

As he expected, Captain America nimbly avoided his attack.

Why was everything getting hazy?

Captain America moved to take advantage, only to strike a golden barrier!

Dave Blade, the legend, went off to find someone to slay, followed by his Dancing Grape Golem.

Dave Blade and the Dancing Grape Golem look for someone to kill.

Murder... Who?!(5)

Dave Blade and his golem wandered to the center of the South island, where they noticed a frog bear, a ball of golden light, and Captain America. That would do?

Capko Eagleson wished he had a better weapon.
Search for something I can use to fix the chainsaw. If I find nothing, then practice wielding the chainsaw like a mace.

Search!(3)

No luck. At least not nearby.

Macesaw?!(4)

Come to think about it, if he wielded the chainsaw by the blade, it was like a mace, wasn't it? An awkward one.

Edgar and his master Raphael were doing secret things.
Spoiler: Actions (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Person/Raphael Only (click to show/hide)

The Frogbear didn't know what was going on with his master, or who that guy and his golem were, but the America guy had to go!
Quote from: Frogbear
Rend and tear asunder!

Rend!(5-1=4) vs. Dodge!(5+1=6)

How on earth did the man keep dodging his claw swipes?

Phlorizin was now a little bit... wolf? Dog? He thought dog.
[Roll To Regain Consciousness]
At least he was conscious. Unfortunately, so was his opponent. And now he only had his whip.

Rich McMoneybags examined his spear...

has my spear changed in any way? If so, continue through dungeon stabbing snakes, if not, continue through the dungeon stabbing snakes.

It didn't seem to be different.

Intuition!(2)

Hm.

He walked through the first room into the second room, a large chamber lit by torches on each wall.

There were two doors, both sealed. A rather ominous golem with carved scales, wearing a snake mask, sat at a table carved with snakes, on one of two chairs carved with snakes. Upon the table, was a board game. Nine Man's Morris. The golem picked up a white stone and held it towards Rich. Offering him the first move.
~~~
Nikola appeared where Spoopy used to be.
Well this was interesting. What on earth was going on here? There was a frog bear thing(his, he realized), Captain America(he was fighting him?) and an onlooker with a golem made of grapes. Bah.
A chocolate bar promptly dropped into his hand. Well then.
