Dave Blade had a desire to loot those he slew in battle.
Kick dirt into the pit to extinguish all the remaining flames.
If successful, climb down and loot all remaining loot.

Dirt spilled into the pit. Soon the flames died. Then Dave Blade realized that the loot in there could be hidden under the dirt. Dave sighed.

Dave made like a nimble monkey and descended into the pit... in the process, dislodging several useful handholds that would have helped him to climb out.

Dave got to work, searching under the dirt.
Also, in the pit wall. For some reason, there was a knife lodged in there. He took it.
Dave found the chunk of ashes that was Blue's corpse. Thankfully it was completely disintegrated. The only reason he recognized it as Blue's corpse was the cracked skull. Two more knives followed. There was still more to find, however.
Ckaeyod's vengeful rage filled his body.

Perhaps later it would build up to the point where it was useful.
Remove dinosaur defensively. I'm basically going to do this forever unless it gets off me or someone threatens my well-being.

Ckaeyod finally found a vulnerable area on the dinosaur, and started tearing at it. Progress was made, though the task still wasn't complete(barely).
Blue had a desire to shoot somebody.

DOOMBOT-3000, a normal person with parents with a weird naming sense, appeared in DrM's place. As a new player, he received new loot.
A baseball cap made of brilliantly colored coral appeared in his hands. It wouldn't be comfortable to wear, but it was sure to break into sharp shards if broken.
On another note, he still seemed to have the loot the player he replaced had. A revolver... unloaded. Legacy of the great Derm. Interesting.
