Is it a bug if the /raw/onLoad.init file doesn't get loaded in the testing arena? In Dwarf mode the /data/save/regionx/raw/onLoad.txt loads just fine. But the testing Arena won't load the /raw/onLoad.txt when using the default source. It also won't load the /data/save/regionx/raw/onLoad.txt when using the save file as the source.

onLoad.init or onLoad.txt? Also, does it load onLoad.init in the main DF folder?

There was a typo in the siegers' campfire code. When the fires went out, so did the game.

Yes, I meant onLoad.init. It will load an onLoad.init from the root DF folder.

For the new version, will dfhack attempt to run on it (with associated risk of bugs), or will a version-mismatch cause an error automatically?

It won't recognize newer versions than what it was built for, which is always the case. We're working on 0.44.04 support, so expect a release soon.

Thanks for the fine work!

Do both of those installations include TWBT? If so, again, can you try with the mousequery plugin distributed with DFHack? I know that DFHack's version hasn't changed since 0.43.05, but I can't make any guarantees about TWBT's version of mousequery (or TWBT itself) not changing things. It doesn't look like TWBT's mousequery.cpp has changed, but it's possible that TWBT has changed something.

Also, what specific mousequery feature are you referring to? Run "mousequery" and you should see a list of features, like this:
Code: [Select]
mousequery [plugin|rbutton|track|edge|live] [enabled|disabled]
  plugin: enable/disable the entire plugin
  rbutton: enable/disable right mouse button
track: enable/disable moving cursor in build and designation mode
edge: enable/disable active edge scrolling (when on, will also enable tracking)
live: enable/disable query view when unpaused
Disable one at a time, like "mousequery track disable", until whatever you're talking about doesn't work at all.

Anyway, if this doesn't occur with DFHack's mousequery plugin, downloaded from https://github.com/dfhack/dfhack/releases, there isn't anything I can do to fix it.
i always use twbt and the mousequery feature that doesnt work correctly in 44.x is "edge".
so if this is a twbt-issue, where should i adress this bugreport then?

Good to know that you're using TWBT, but can you also test with the mousequery plugin distributed with DFHack and see if the issue occurs with it? I linked to it above.

If the issue does not occur when you do that, I would report it in the TWBT thread.

How would i set up DFhack in a way that i can run it on a server (with no GUI) but still access both DF and DFHack's screens?

(i.e. have them be on their own terminals in tmux, maybe?)

Use dfhack-run to send commands.

Hello i'm getting a crash which I suspect maybe something to do with DFHack in the latest alpha build

When a human caravan and guild representative arrives (year2, playing with 'enhanced gameplay' on) the game crashes with no error message.

What specific DFHack version are you using? I'm guessing it's not "the latest" because you mentioned "enhanced gameplay", which is a name some packs made up, and I'm not aware of any packs that include 0.44.04 yet. Can you test with 0.44.04, and also without DFHack entirely? If it only occurs with DFHack, can you upload your save?

"Something to do with trade representative" could possibly be what caused the crash I mentioned earlier too when I asked about missions and taverns, as I crashed somewhere in the middle of year two as well.

A question regarding the df.emotion_type attribute "divider" (defined in df.unit_thoughts.xml):
What does this attribute describe, and how is is supposed to be applied?
