"Wanna take these guys out? You could head north to get a line of attack open from behind, then we hit from both sides at the same time."

If Denver agrees to this, Bob will try to find a good, low point to set up his BAR, and then wait for Denver to get into position. Signal to attack would be three clicks with the clicket, hopefully timing the attack with thunder again. Since I think it'll probably take a turn before Denver would get into position, how many Nazis are jogging alongside? If it doesn't take a turn for Denver to get in position, then open fire at the signal!

((I'm thinking since we've both got weapons with automatic fire, we could take down quite a few of these guys if not all, before having Denver go in close to take out the drivers with CQC while Bob provides suppressive fire? And if we succeed really well (yeah, right), maybe we get a truck.))

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Sneak north to a covered firing position, attack with a series of bursts at the escorts with my Thompson on Bob's signal.

Spoiler: Denver Gaunt (click to show/hide)

You can see 6 jogging along, 3 on each side.

Alright, so you guys set up your ambush, one on either side, laying down in the tall grass off the side of the road. You wait for the truck to draw near; it gets very close to being in position this turn, but not quite. You can still hear screaming from inside it.

...Oh, screw it.  Get a close look at the commander, using the binoculars; just make sure he's not a mannequin or something, a decoy.  If he's real, first treat some of those wounds with first aid... then sneak up behind the tank, knife drawn, trying to stay out of sight of any viewing ports.  Carefully climb up behind him, then charge and stab him through the neck, and pull him out.  Then dive in and kill the crew in melee.  There is no way for this to go wrong.  Nope.

...If the commander is fake, don't use the FAK, and just keep backtracking to base.  Be extra cautious when passing the burning building.

[2]
You pull out the first aid kit and start bandaging up your injuries. However, you just can't get the bandaging set up right; they keep sliding off or letting blood still get out. You grunt and grumble, fiddling with the bandages for a few extra moments before pulling out your binos and looking at the man in the tank. He's definitely real; since he's moving around a lot and apparently talking to someone in the tank.
[6]
You decide to ignore that for the moment, draw your knife and slink over towards the tank. You make it right up to the rear of the tank and press yourself against it, out of sight.

"Ah well, gotta work with what'cha got."

Make coffee. Is there a clothes drier around here?

Spoiler: Alice! (click to show/hide)
A quick rummage around  and you find the ingredients to make coffee and start a small fire. You sit and wait in the bombed out building, hiding under a partially destroyed roof from the downpour outside. You wait as the water boils, warming your hands next to the little fire.

What, was there nothing lootworthy to find? Like nothing at all?

Spoiler: Radioman (click to show/hide)
Nothing like a weapon. I mean, there's stuff in there, but I'm assuming you're looking for weapons, armor, uniforms, shit like that. Not some guy's record collection or photo album. You're gonna have to be more specific if you don't just want me to list off battle ready lootables.

Action: gather the team (including Carolina, should she agree to come along), iexamine the wreckage of the supply trucks we destroyed,
and then head south east across that dark grey road and toward the three light grey buildings between here and the other group of red buildings.
If nothing of note happens, and everyone agrees to the plan, we should end up all together near those three buildings.

Just to be clear: keep all eyes out for hostiles. We're not just blindly meandering into enemy fire.
:P

"Alright, this area is bust. Let's move on to the next set of houses. Maybe we'll have better luck there. If not, at least we'll be closer to the objective.

To Carolina:"The group is moving up. This area is dead. I invite you to come with us to the next area. We'll find another spot to bunker up in as we go. If you prefer to stay at the house as a fall-back, I'll send New Guy up to you.

To Denver and Bob:"Keep us posted. We're gonna be heading south of your position, so meet up with us there, once you are finished what you are doing."
((to be honest, it looks like Denver and Bob cold use some help, and are about to either earn some GLORY, or die trying (and still earn some GLORY for the effort).))

Again everyone seems to following this so I'll just respond to this post.

You all head back to examine the truck and loot everything from around it. You gather up 3 Gewehr's, 2 Sturmgewehr 44's, and a few SMG's of a make you're not familiar with. There are 30 rounds for the Gewehr's, 45 for the sturmgewehr's and 30 for the SMGs; a lot of rounds have gone off so those are just the ones that still look usable. There are a few knives, and two of those amulets with the symbol on them. However the thing of most interest is in the back of the truck; the thing is piled high with metal crates. You open one, it hinges in the middle, to reveal an insulated interior packed with ice and  several human organs. A full set in fact. There are maybe 60 of these crates in here, if not more.

The weapons and gear are distributed (However you want) and then the team heads southweast towards the gray structures. They turn out to be tall industrial tanks of some kind; still intact. There's a company logo painted on them; a fish in an inverted triangle. Huh.

A fusillade of lightning strikes land somewhere behind you, damn close to where you just were.

Are these G43s or Kar98s? (are they semi auto or bolt action?)

The enemy was drawing near, and it seemed like Denver was probably about ready.

When Bob hears the clicks from Denver, he'll open fire with his BAR. Fire about a four round burst at each person on Bob's side of the truck. If any are up after that, empty the magazine. If any remain after that, Bob will open fire with his pistol. Also, try to get a feel for how things are going on the other side of the truck by looking under to see feet, to see if Denver needs help taking down his side or whatever.

Once the truck and soldiers are down the road close enough that they're in range but are all still about 50 feet away northwise, send clicker signal and then fire a 5 round burst at each guard. Keep firing at the escorts on my side until all are down, and then fire on the drivers and rush on them for kills using any left over ammo and my trench knife.

Should I run out of ammo, apply trench knife to enemies.

((My plan, let me know if you don't like.))

Ed's reporting the organs to Bones. Also, did we notice anything with [the forbidden word] on it? Ed would like to retroactively pick up anything of that sort that is easily manageable, and will be actively keeping an eye out for them in the future. You know the word I mean.

We'll make our way around the north side of the fish processing tanks and scout the area. If all is clear, we'll head south into the red roofed area (Splitting up with Tala's group taking the side near the industrial complex and Ed's group taking opposite), unless Bob and Denver actually contact us about their situation, in which case we'll move to rendezvous with them.

We are distributing the weapons in OOC. Ed is taking one of the Gewehrs, 10 ammo, and an amulet, and passing the second amulet to Tala.

"Tala, better hang onto this, or give it to one of the others if you have one. We ought to ask Bones about them when we get back. Anyway, if all is clear, shall we split up again to scout this neighborhood? I'll take the left, you take the right, and we'll meet at the bottom?"

Follow Ed's plans. Maybe touch a liver or other organ. Mmmm. Organs. What's the risk on the gewehr and the smgs?

This'n's some good stuff. Gonna put it all to good use.

Follow along with Ed’s plan. If we split off this turn, I’ll go along with Ed’s group.

((Oh no what was the consequence of that [6]?!))

As planned:

Quote
Carefully climb up behind [the tank's commander], then charge and stab him through the neck with the trench knife, and pull him out.  Then dive in and kill the crew in melee.  There is no way for this to go wrong.
