I don’t need to worry about ed; He’s drunk
I also haven’t met him. In any way
And I assume he’s on the car
And etc.
Anyway, Alice is a fat Hairy lady, no?

Saying "I don't need to worry about Ed, he's drunk" is like saying "I don't need to worry about the flu, it's contagious."

There is no justice.

Also I just realized we really do have an OOC thread but then never seem to use it :p

Ed stays put, and pulls out his rubber ducky that he got as part of his mission equipment. Ed will await Radio and will follow his instructions. I guess that means "getting to the escape vehicle post-haste," once Radio finds Ed.

"What do you think he meant by that, Mister Franklin Delano Roosevelt? 'Do not moo.' I'm not a sheep! I'm more likely to bark like a spider than purr like an eagle. Still, if my good friend and drinking buddy says 'Do not moo,' I'm not one to argue. Now then, Mister Roosevelt, I guess we have some free time. Let's go visit the Tower of Ben, or the Big Bridge, or the London of Canterbury. No moo'ing in there, I bet. No sir."

((I guess I passed a disguise check while simultaneously failing a speech roll.))

Spoiler: Edward Bohring (click to show/hide)
You sigh and sit on the counter, squeaking the duck and exchanging bouts of utter nonsense with it. It, unlike the others, does not judge you for your rampant silliness.

Much.

"Right, keep moving."

No, I am not calling the team, because if they come and pick us up they'll inevitably find a way to get back into danger again, despite having escaped successfully.
Just head north across the reagent's park, now at a somewhat more casual pace, and once on the other side head to wherever our headquarters were for this mission.

Spoiler: Alice! (click to show/hide)
I could throw some shit in your way. Random street toughs for you to kill, Home Guard members out on patrol, extremely aggressive prostitute and her hidden pimp, but honestly that would just waste time. I'm gonna say you and Sy manage to escape the park and the circle around on foot back to the safehouse. It will be a long walk, probably end with Tala knocking your heads together, but you'll make it.

"You are the living proof that protections from cruel and unusual punishment do not extend to British soil.

Well, whatever, just come along and stay close to me, okay? I don't feel like going on a circular goose chase right now."

Go find the boozeboy. Try to avoid interacting with police while getting to him, but do not move or act particularly suspicious (keeping the general situation in mind. No need to saunter all coolly like nothing is going on, but also don't run around screaming at a dead sprint). If Tala wanders off or goes braindead drag her along.

Should we find him this turn, start escorting him away from the premises. If people stop us, tell them we're getting an especially drunk hotel guest away because he can't evacuate under his own power. Be sure to support him while he's walking to help make the point, have Tala help with the supporting (hopefully?).

Try to get far away enough from the local hotspot so that the car or maybe the van can come pick us up safely.

Spoiler: Radioman (click to show/hide)

[5-2]

You take a deep, cleansing breath, and promptly grab Tala by the arm. You notice she has started drooling again, clearly momentarily brain dead.

"You know, considering your habit of wandering off and occasionally going comatose, I'm starting to worry you caught some shrapnel to the brain at some point."

You drag her along into the building and down the long corridors of rooms. Place is swarming with people now; especially on this first floor. Dozens of cops interviewing people, trying to control the situation and cordon off the important areas. You slip past everyone with a minimum of trouble, somehow your giant silly head doesn't draw any attention.  You find Ed sitting on the counter of the front entrance desk, talking to a duck, with an empty mug next to him. Ah. Well this explains things.

You smile, as though you know the guy and are glad to see him. You "help" him off the counter with a firm yank and wrap your arm around his shoulders in a way that looks outwardly friendly but is actually about half an inch off of a headlock.

"Hey buddy! Finally found you. Crazy stuff going on here, eh? Lets get going. Need to get you home."

You start walking, dragging both people behind you with an only slightly rictus grin. A few minutes later you're back on the street corner. From there you head south, walking down the sidewalks like a good, wholesome joe escorting his two drunk as skunks friends home after a long night. Admittedly it looks a bit odd since its not THAT late in the evening yet...but whose to say your friends aren't just teetotalers? Yeah! STOP STARING AT ME, PASSERBY!

Alright! Thats basically it. Everyone is back and accounted for. Gimme your summaries for GLORY and we'll move on to debriefing where I'm sure everything will just go GREAT.

Woo, GLORY time! Since Bob didn't abandon the escape vehicle, ahem, like some people. Helps that he was driving it, but that's neither here nor there!

What did he actually do this mission though. . .

Well, Bob did the following!

You get a roll of bills of various values, for bribing people with various levels of integrity.
Got a bunch of money meant for bribing people, can I return that in exchange for glory? Though, may have gotten rid of some of it in the lobby incident
Slept for three turns in preparation for a stakeout? No, that's not really glory worthy. . .

Assisted in the stopping and handcuffing of that one guy in the bar.

Sat in a car for eight turns attempting to stake out a park that apparently didn't need staking out. >:(

Drew attention to a general laxness of hotel security, showed the need for law enforcement and ambulances at the hotel, got rid of a goddamn annoying bell, showed off Bob's beautiful physique, increased airflow in the hotel lobby, scared the Germans upstairs a bit with gunfire, and gave the cleaning crew some good work to do. All in one turn!

Manned a get away vehicle, and assisted in collecting the other getaway vehicle, and presumably managed to avoid all entanglements with the cops in doing so.

==================================================================

ACTION: If Radio requests it, figure out a way to pick them up. Whether that be by contacting the van, getting them in the car now, or arranging a pickup in a half an hour once the car's empty, who knows. Just do the one least likely to involve any of us getting stopped by police. And consult other people in the vehicle for ideas so that we're not stuck with a single bad intelligence roll or something re-dooming us.
If Bob comes back to get people with the car, after dropping others off, make sure to pick up Simon and Alice too, besides Radio and his gang.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Alright you get....40 GLORY

Remember everyone, individual GLORY Is given on merit and then everyone is given a group GLORY depending on the effectiveness of the mission. So the GLORY for your actions isn't all of it; ya got more coming to you.

This radioman either did, or helped with, the following things:

- Supported the local ethanol economy.
- Helped to identify the German spy in a bar very inconspicuously.
- Assisted in the interrogation of said spy.
- Conceived of, and flawlessly executed, the German hideout infiltration plan.
- Conceived of, and less-than-flawlessly, executed the German diplomacy plan.
- Smuggled the corpses to the van while organizing the general evacuation proceedings.
- Extracted one (1) Ed from the premises. Also removed one (1) Tala.

Asked around to find spy
I think I helped find the Nazi we interrogated
I interrogated the Nazi
Got into a shootout in the room assault. I don't know if i killed anybody
Got the hell out

- edit - I got a description of the spy from the hotel clerk.
I helped apprehend him at the bar. But so did a lot of people.

Ed probably didn't do much worth GLORY, really:
He and Radio visited two bars with a cover story of journalism
He failed to prevent Radio from blowing said cover in the most straightforward way possible
Ed interrogated the captured German a bit, learning of the approximate number of Nazis, as well as their traps
Developed at least three infiltration plans, none of which ever took place.
Trapped the hotel hallway needlessly.
Failed to disarm a grenade trap.
failed to either bullshit the police into a cover story, or to convince them to take him seriously enough to arrest.

[Denver scouted out locations, helped question he delivery guy, helped grab the bar Nazi, shot one Nazi in the firefight, got shot twice, helped clean up the hotel room and evacuate the building, helped get the bar Nazi from building into car, and relayed directions on the way out.

Mission complete, and how! That's why you're the best, boss.

I was kept in reserve and successfully did not make everything worse by getting in the way.

I suppose I can't fault you guys because; at least until your sandwich escape, you did as you were told. You just couldn't do anything to act as backup.

So 10 GLORY for not causing trouble.

65 GLORY

glory:
Drove a van of dead bodies without crashing
Shot a guy
“Helped” interrogate a guy
Didn’t die
Didn’t kill anybody on our team

"Didn't kill anybody on our team" is quite an accomplishment sometimes.

25 GLORY

Asked around to find spy
I think I helped find the Nazi we interrogated
I interrogated the Nazi
Got into a shootout in the room assault. I don't know if i killed anybody
Got the hell out

- edit - I got a description of the spy from the hotel clerk.
I helped apprehend him at the bar. But so did a lot of people.

35 GLORY

Ed probably didn't do much worth GLORY, really:
He and Radio visited two bars with a cover story of journalism
He failed to prevent Radio from blowing said cover in the most straightforward way possible
Ed interrogated the captured German a bit, learning of the approximate number of Nazis, as well as their traps
Developed at least three infiltration plans, none of which ever took place.
Trapped the hotel hallway needlessly.
Failed to disarm a grenade trap.
failed to either bullshit the police into a cover story, or to convince them to take him seriously enough to arrest.

We're gonna go with 15 GLORY for you, sonny.

[Denver scouted out locations, helped question he delivery guy, helped grab the bar Nazi, shot one Nazi in the firefight, got shot twice, helped clean up the hotel room and evacuate the building, helped get the bar Nazi from building into car, and relayed directions on the way out.
40 GLORY. Solid work.

So we're missing a few people; give them a day or two to post before I hit ya up with the debrief.  While we wait, if you guys would like to tell me the kind of mission you'd like next, it will help me narrow my options. Nothing specific, just a general idea like "Stealth" or "Frontline Combat" or something.
