"In my professional medical opinion... he's fucked. Put him out of his misery, we have neither the time nor the spare medical supplies to save a man whose entire lower half is red paint on the floor. Also, Alice is either blind, retarded, or a shitty driver."
If no more than 2 people disagree, sling the Stg over my back and pull out the G43 and put poor Franek down like the lamed horse he is. I'm willing to waste the bullet; Toby's not cold enough to finish off an ally with a knife, unless it's the only option. During all this, remain in my covered position behind the tanks turret (at the end of the turner I should be sitting facing the elevator, with my back up against the turret)

Spoiler: I'm sorry (click to show/hide)

I see two in character denials so gonna say you don't do this.

"Oi! Are you people stupid or what?!" he yells at the tank, putting some extra bass into his voice.
"You back up and free that man right this instant. Don't make me come over there!"

Wave my arms frantically to make the tank people back up and/or make the mercy kill people wait with the shooty shoots until the patient is officially deemed unrecoverable. By a competent medic. A Competent one.

Spoiler: Radioman (click to show/hide)
A competent medic?

Where are we gonna get one of those?

Arm waving regardless.

"Are you nuts? He's still alive, we're not putting him down! I'm sure we can still save some of his organs."

If no competent medic tends to Franek, apply first aid on him myself, if one is tending to him, assist them.

If no competent medic tends to Franek, apply first aid on him myself, if one is tending to him, assist them.
Be that competent medic and direct the medical efforts!
And by direct, I mean organize everyone so they won't do anything they're unaware of and damage anyone further. Because look at all that first aid!

Use the requisitioned medical bag so I won't use one of the consumable ones that don't replenish.

Because despite the horrendous description, we totally know that everything is decided by numbers! (And it just seems like the damage is that bad but not really)

Tala broke from her moment of peace to reach into one of the medical bags and felt herself touch various equipment from memory, there were also some shears that were somehow within.

"Back to my job."

"Everyone, stop focusing on the tank; report on what's going on around us. We're being observed by a paranormal entity, and we're in the bowels of this fortress that a surrendering enemy held to their last.

"We have bigger problems that should be handled. I'm taking care of this one."

"Alice, Simon, have you lost your goddamned minds? Has all sense and human decency left your addled brains altogether? I'm not surprised at Alice - she's been acting loony for a while now, but I am disappointed in you, Simon. I thought you had some basic human decency left in you. You sick, sadistic bastard."

Rant a little at the asshats in the tank.
Request mental health damage removal please. Y'all can do that for us who've lost some of our health.
Rewording: Find insight in this to help. :P

Spoiler: My Sheet (click to show/hide)
"Well, look folks. The tank driver killed him. ... nah, he's still alive. Simon, please unlock the hatch! I promise not to kill you! Or attack you!"

Once tank is clear, assist with first aid Then stay to the side of the tank following behind. Once in the room, scout the borders, back very quickly away from any enemies. Denver is still scared of Simon. Leave Nazi prisoner dude with some other team member. Gag him if possible.

Spoiler: Denver Gaunt (click to show/hide)
[1][2][2]
Tala screams uncontrollably, sobbing about....honestly its kind of hard to understand her. One time she raises her hands above her head and yells "ADOOOOOLLF!" before whispering in french to the injured man who seems very confused because he doesn't actually understand french. Meanwhile Denver and Gwen just sort of stand around and look at the man like union workers would look at a hole that needs to be dug. Gwen tosses a handful of gauze at the man and then shrugs.

"It's only a flesh wound, ladies and gentlemen! I am, in fact, perfectly fine!"

Those are word that Franek Kimono would have said if he wasn't screaming internally, externally and in ways his simple mind could not comprehend. Then, he was silent. He looked one final time at the people around him, good friends he knew for less than six hours, then whispered quietly his final word.

"BARF!"

Die.

Okay, fuck that. Let's get this show on the road.

I reach for my sewing kit and start sewing my crushed ass back into shape.

Spoiler: Franek Kimono (click to show/hide)

You pull out your sewing kit and attempt to suture up the...meat that used to be your legs. You think you slow the bleeding a bit this isn't really helping all that much .

Spoiler: mission briefing (click to show/hide)
You rant a little at the asshats in the tank, kicking the metal a few times to make your point.

"Wait, so what the hell happened? If you're gonna put someone out of their misery, don't do it with a tank! Bullets are less gruesome, and don't hurt morale so much." It's clear that Bob was not paying much attention to what just happened. The gun he's at is just so very distracting.

Hey pw, can Bob temporarily give his Iron Heart medal to someone else on a mission and let them benefit from the +2 Life? If yes, Bob will push his way up to the hatch, and chuck his medal down at Franek's face. If this hatch is blocked, try to use a different one. If no, Bob will continue his patient not-shooting of the machinegun.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
You lean out and spike the medal down into the crushed man's face.

"FEEL BETTER!" you shout as the tank grinds forward off of him.

Locked in action for this turn: Go into full paranoid mode and point the G43 back down the corridor from my Overwatch position on the tank; in addition, start scanning the shadows with the corners of my eyes, so as to catch the movement better (same principle as being able to see a twinkling star better if you don't look right at it)
"Nice of you to tell us this earlier Tala. Scanning."
You set yourself up in overwatch on the hall.

"That sounds wise. They are like lemmings."

Drive forwards.

Spoiler: Alice! (click to show/hide)
"Stop with your grousing, he's not dead yet.  Kinda impressive considering he jumped in front of a moving tank, but hey, maybe my talented driver swerved away from his head.  Anyway, Alice, onwards unto the breach!  Before any more allies can dive under our treads!"

Keep aiming the turret around as we enter the cavern, ready to shoot at anything that looks dangerous, and isn't allied with us.  Unless our allies are attacking us, in which case they're a valid target too.

Alice, apparently not seeing what the big deal is, drives the tank on into the next room, parking just in front of the arch.

"You better give the damn thing back when you're done, Franek! If you don't, I'm gonna kill ya myself."
Bob exits the tank, getting well clear (as much as possible), so that he doesn't become the next victim

"Y'know what, I'm just gonna stand here and wait. See how it goes Franek, I don't want you getting any silly ideas with my medal."

Make Franek have +2 life by affixing the medal to his coat? And wait with a pistol out in case he gets funny ideas. (No shooting yet though.)

"Everyone shut the fuck up. There's something dangerous out there and we need to get our shit together reeeaaal fast. Simon, please stay where you are until we're ready to move." *gestures angrily at Gwen and Denver* "You lot, be useful and go keep an eye on the door where the tank is, and since you clearly know even less than me about first aid. Whilst you're at it, give me some of your medical supplies. Tala, help me with Franek."

one roll for Simon, one for Denver and Gwen, and one for medical success. Focus on stopping the bleeding.

"I am grateful for the medal, however it just wouldn't quite do to usurp your glory. I am afraid I can't accept your medal, though a fine gift it makes."

Eat my rations and savor their non-existent taste. Then start applying first aid to myself. Also, smear Bob's medal on my face to apply it's miraculous properties.

"Just take the damn thing, and give it back when you're done!" Bob waves his pistol vehemently "You're gonna die otherwise, and someone back at command is gonna get all pissy and say 'hey Bob, you had that medal on ya, why didn't you throw it at Franek when you got the chance, mighta saved his life'. I don't have a damn clue why they'd think a medal would keep ya alive, but I'm certain someone'd say that. And I don't want to have to go through with that."

"Could someone remind me what the name was of the guy who I just ran over? I didn't really get a good look."

Start reading that journal of the guy who crewed this tank before Simon stabbed the fuck outta him. Cry a little at the intense Pathos of finding out about this guy's personal life after he's been brutally murdered by the stabby trench knife of war. Relate to him as a fellow crew person of the very same tank.
Then suddenly remember that I don't know german.

"Why? I'm pretty sure this is the first time I hear that name. Do you remember him doing anything notable? Like, I dunno, fumbled a smoke grenade at exactly the wrong time, thus saving the battle? So like, you can tell me it's all gross and stuff but all I've really got to go on here is a bit of red paste and a names of some guy who I've never heard of, and who probably hasn't really accomplished anything yet. He's what, a Rifleman? I see a lot of riflemen in this outfit. Don't really bother to learn their names, 'cause they're probably just going to die to a bullshit artillery shell or something.
So I guess go fix up whathisface and I'll start remembering him as the guy who survived getting hit by our tank. Probably get some sweet bionics too, definitely remember him them."
