~1595 A.D~

Four years ago, the evil was vanquished in Wallachia.

But as the Belmont family is resting, a new source of evil seems to bloom in the Western Europe this time. The people of Ardalonne, witnessing strange omens and sighting wicked beings roam the woods, have sent a messenger to the Holy See, asking the Church for help. An envoy of the Pope was sent to ascertain the situation... but he never returned.

Pope Clement decided not to wait and do nothing! He invested in six choosen soldiers of the Church this holy task: reach the remote village of Ardallone, ascertain what evil is rearing its head there, and chop it off in the name of the God!

Prologue: The Moment of Embarkation

The Papal servant have arrived at the stables with a letter in his hands.

"This is the papal message to the mayor of Ardallone. Who shall be the leader of your expedition, have you decided?"

A) Please specify who is the 'captain' of the group. He/she will carry the papal letter.
B) Please determine who fights in which row (Front/Back) by default.

[Solymr]

Julius spoke up, although not to claim captainship.

We haven't had much time to decide. Maybe the priest, as a man of the cloth, should carry the letter.

[SeriousConcentrate]

The French knight waited patiently, his right hand on the sheath of his sword just below the crossguard of the blade, his left hand resting on the wrist of his right hand.

"Nonsense. I am Reynaud Judicaël Morgan De La Fontaine IV, and my blood is ze most noble here. I should lead our group into battle with ze foul demons and ghouls zat are plaguing Ardallone."

[Haspen]

"May the God bless your efforts and that of your group."

The papal message ended in the hands of Reynauld.

//Now you just need to determine fighting row order.

[SeriousConcentrate]

That matter was decided. Reynaud tucked the papal letter into his surcoat, where it would be safe.

"Zat is zat. As leader, I shall lead from ze front, as is proper."

[Aliemma]

The witch that had been clutching on to a few tomes spoke up.

Well, I'm staying behind you guys. These robes don't do much to prevent cuts,"
She quickly turned to the servant, trying not to let her tome be too obvious, though to not much success.
"May the God bless you as well,"

[Hibou]

The hunter named Katherine stands, hopping in place a couple times to get her blood flowing.

"Put me up front. I'd like tae see 'em catch a piece o' me."

[flabort]

"True. The Lords commandments may protect our souls but do little against the worldly harms inflicted by the creatures of evil."

Matthew crosses his heart, muttering the words of a short prayer, then returns his gaze to the group.

"You would not mind if I hung back as well?"

[mastahcheese]

Cedric looked upon the others that desired a rear position and gave a hearty laugh.

"There is nothing to fear, my companions. Should evil stir, they shall surely fall upon my axe long before reaching the lot of you!"

He turned to the captain, and clapped him on the shoulder, "I shall stand at your side, m'lord!"

[Solymr]

Julius shrugged.

Alright then. I'll stay at the front too. Now we should get moving.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Indeed! Let us sally forth and confront ze evil! Forward!"

And with that Reynaud mounted his horse and led the mission out of the stables.

Chapter 1: Road to Ardallone

Having journeyed for six days and six nights, the group wandered into the small village of Bianco, whose people spoke of strange noises in the nearby cementery, which has become a dump for plague victims. But when asked about direction of Ardallone, the ever so helpful peasants said:

"To get to Ardallone, you must follow the road through the corpse dump and then by the old necropolis of the Romans." Yet some said, "Through the dark forest to the west, the shortest route to Ardallone leads."

But then the clouds began to thicken and the sun hid behind them, causing the day to turn into a greyish state...

Segment A: Fields of Plague

The group was nearing an old, dead tree. A lone raven was perched atop it, staring down at the travellers.

[Solymr]

Julius looked back at the raven. They were always sign of something to come, and in their situation it couldn't be a good thing.

I have a bad feeling about this... Julius placed his hand on his whip, ready for anything.

[Aliemma]

Sorgina held the older, battered apprentice's tome, her thumb bookmarking a page so that she could flip to it should the need arise.

"It can't be that bad, we aren't even at Ardallone,"

She looked up at the raven, smiling at it for a moment as if to hope it wouldn't bring the worst upon them.

[Haspen]

Then the raven croaked and its eyes shone with red. The earth has trembled - and corpses begun to climb out from under the dirt! The dead are walking amongst us again!
