Never mind we have been dealing with Britain, rather than US, when it comes Allied Powers. Us is still technically not with Allies yet. Oh, and we did have election.

Well, seeing how US was not part of Allies, and we have only then joined, I see how that could be held as example. Most of our dealings are with Britain, rather than US.

And we actually have law on our side, rather than just flat out "Fuck off". Cannalan constitution allows postponing elections during the state of emergency, which war counts as one.

Basically, you told your ally to piss off, while we have never told our allies "no". US is not part of Allied Nations. So logically, us saying "no elections" is not really an issue, never mind we have held elections now. US can't really demand yet another elections, since last elections are less than an year ago.
