1) Ministry of Truth says there were Forenians, so they were Forenians. Do you want Secret Police (which does not exist) visit you?
3) No, you said we were going to lie. Correcting a narrative error is not lying, it's correcting an error ;)

1) How about an international inquiry is to be made to determine the fault behind the shellings?
2) Compromise, both sides get to keep the islands and both nations blame the islands seizure on wanting to protect the islands from the Communists.

You know, looking at what was made on the current turn, the Canallan designs seem a bit more suspicious in my eyes.  Explicitly designing a ship when they still carry a major naval advantage the same turn the Forenians are producing shore defenses, and with a slightly larger barrel at that, and improving their radar at the same time the Forenians are upgrading their jet engines?  While it may be just a weird coincidence as well, if there was spying going on, the needle does seem a bit more leaning towards the Canallans than the Forenians.

Improving radar to utilize their big-gun navy. Has no practical use against aircraft.

However, yeah, I am suspicious of their sudden desire to cement their naval lead. Mostly annoyed, but somewhat suspicious as well.

Guys, guys, Ill head over to the enemy embassy and make some strange demands of them also.

As to my opinion on the "demands";

1. We will never admit to fault, down to the last living thing left on the island. (unless proof can be found that dissidents working with rebels on the other side stole a ship and framed both nations)
2. We stand by our allies forever! (Unless we can get a separate peace, then our alliance of convenience will be over faster then a Forenian race car on a strait track.)
3. We will never give up sovereign soil that has clearly always belongs to the state. (But we will be glad to stand by and claim that the islands you occupied were totally always yours as well.)
4. NEVER! (Unless you can provide rum that is usable in rockets)

eh, it's not that crazy.  Both sides get lucky some times.  We put in a jet the same turn they built a turbo-shaft tank.

Building a bigger, better ship that uses radar tech that we've had for a few years isn't really that suspicious.  If they built the Victoria the same time we built our own battleship, then yeah that'd be a little suspicious, but as is I don't put much stock into them spying (or at least changing their actions due to spying).

I did admit that there was the possibility of it just being a weird coincidence.  My statement was based around if there actually was spying being done, it seems the needle would be leaning more in the Canallan direction than the Forenian.  Granted, it could have been worded better.

Cannala had the plans for the victoria before you guys made jet fighter and when you guys threw us out of the jungles we felt like we needed a capital ship to help with the landing assult to counter your air advantage. The radar revision was just us going all in on sea cause why not?

The Victoria was initially suggested prior to the Santos.

You people are really suprised by Victoria? I mean, it's not Sensei hasn't not-so-subtly told us in battle reports that our existing capitol ships have too small guns or are underarmed.

We'd have thought that actually storming the beaches would've been your first priority to be honest.

???

It was. We were told, several times that our guns were too small to provide any real assistance in storming the beaches. Your air general just happens to be so OP she can even neutralize our naval advantages and bonus to beach assaults.

Forenian assassins suspect in the death of Baden-Powell?

From a former Scout: Yeah, right.

I actually do approve of the humor, though. Unrelated news? BLAME THE ENEMY!

On a side note :

Quote
A Forenian Sea Lift being used as a hospital ship, the Limping Tiger, reported being attacked, and has been disappeared. Attacking this ship would constitute a war crime, and Cannala has denied any involvement.

Nice war crimes.
