  • If we have the missile, we will have their proximity fuzes, so we can revise the Fair Fight with less difficulty next turn.
  • They made their missile less complex last turn, so we only have one level of complexity less when we steal it this turn.
  • The Macross would benefit from the stolen missile aerodynamics (accuracy).
  • And lastly, we can immediately build an ASM next turn and finally use our Research Credit.

Also cheap isn't as many of something as we need, its as many as we have troops to crew. If the same size crew can use 3X the rockets, then that's 3x the rockets.

That too.  If we get a trailer carrying ammo, it would be 2x the rockets for the same amount of driving crew.  If we have a Macross truck pulling a SARUKH, and another truck carrying ammo, we'd have a 12x2 with 2 trucks worth of crew rather than 8x2 with 2 trucks of crew, a 150% increase.  If one supply truck can supply 2 Macross trucks, then that's a 133% increase (16x2 rather than 12x2), and if a supply truck (perhaps with a trailer) can supply the 2 Macross Trucks pulling SARUKH launchers, then that's back to a 200% increase (24x2 compared to 12x2), with said supply truck possibly even greater numbers, if sustained bombardment isn't an issue (Probably not triple, I will admit, but still, we can get a notable increase in volume).

This isn't guaranteed.

We didn't get their radar or cannons when we stole the ship.

We didn't get their radar or cannons when we stole the ship.

We already had 300 mm cannons for the ship.  And the Radar is more excusable; it's not integrated into the functionality of the ship, and we took blueprints.

If we steal the missile but don't get the IR or proximity tech, then we didn't steal a missile at all - we've just stolen an empty metal tube.  Reverse-engineering relies on us having a physical copy of what we're stealing.

But yes, you are right - it's not guaranteed.

Hard: 6
Piracy Warning:
You have reverse-engineered and stolen the Cannalans' Hellfire Mk3 missiles. They are [Complex] to manufacture. You're unimpressed with the general quality of the rocketry but the tracking system and radar-fuze are interesting technologies (you still don't understand them perfectly and are copying them by rote from missiles you've disassembled).

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YES!

Well, like I said, next turn we really ought to attempt to revise it to track tanks instead.

Woah

I guess our engineers learned that using ball peen hammers aren't the best way to open up missiles.

I propose we push the north and south lanes this year.  North to get Ore, South to press our land advantage.

I think pushing Forenia is a bad idea; we got a jungle bonus this turn so they are unlikely to advance, but next turn they will be able to shore bombard again.  I wanna do something newwwwwwww.

(1) Keep the Piracy Warning hidden: NAV

We should keep the piracy warning hidden because we are already winning air to air. Don't want them to develop jammers or flares before we get a anti-tank or anti-ship missiles. Release two or three types of missiles in one future turn.

Next turn: Design anti-ship missile. Revise anti-tank missile. Release anti ship, tank, and aircraft missiles all the the same turn. Dominate all fronts for at least a turn.

I actually think that the Vengeful Charlotte presents enough of a threat, especially if improved or better made use of, that we may need to use the Hellfire. We’re in an increasingly volatile situation right now, after all.

I think we should attack every jungle we possibly can given that we will probably have an advantage there, and said advantage is probably temporary to some degree.

I want to attack the Tundra because I’m afraid that taking back Forenian land has been kind of pointless, and that Forenia needs to make progress to not lose

Actually I changed my mind. If we are likely to push navally after this turn, and with the ASM we are, then taking back the Erching area (Forenian jungle) may let us start to take the plains and make real progress down the central lane.
