Lets not forget Nazi scientists did discover the link between lung cancer and smoking. Wars are normally black/black or grey/grey. In the end the victor chooses.

If we do end up with the sea lift, I wonder if Cannalia will sink a hospital ship, you know, war crimes.

I'm going incommunicado until tomorrow evening.

Please try not to lose war until then, OK?

UFS-DD-38 Pattern K "Archer"
The Archer is Forenia's first combat ship. It is relatively small, and made of steel and lightly armoured with a light torpedo belt. It has two 130mm guns, complete with targeting system, in covered turrets on either side of a center con tower. There are also two Bumblebees not in covered turrets. Four "Sarukh" rocket batteries (two in the front and two in the back) are included for more oomph. It is powered by two steam turbines, and it is relatively fast. Auxiliary weapons include an AS-AC18 on each side, and some Sorraia machineguns on railing mounts. There are also four Dolphin torpedo in launchers on deck: These are basically metal chutes which can be aimed on a swivel, before the torpedo is released by pulling a lever.

Improvements:
-Turrets are upgunned to 130mm
-Four Saruhk rocket batteries
-Torpedo chutes are metal and launched by pulling a lever
-light armour and a light torpedo belt

I'm going to go with the Sea Lift for now. I realise that we will probably lose a section of Jungle this coming turn, meaning it won't be needed for a while, but on the off chance that the Z does enough to wear down their invasion forces that we hold it, I'd like to have the TC. And I don't actually think air power will be that important next turn, since it is the wet season as well as fog season.

More jets WOULD be really nice, but I want to express my concern even as I vote for this that this "revision" is for the greatest part composed of things beyond actual engineering and I'm not sure if to will work. We should ask Sensei.

Why not go with the Kraftei then?

Sensei confirmed that maintenance is not the problem, manufacture is. Manufacturing Krafteieren will be more complicated, probably.

If you have a better suggestion for a method to de-complexify our jet engines, that would be nice. Thing is, Sensei didn't really explain why it was [Complex] in detail, so it's hard to address specific issues. I will check with Sensei when he gets online, though. I don't want another QoL situation :/

Getting the 3 TC Sea Lift would drop the jet an expense level just like the aT-J04 would, plus drop the expense of a half-dozen other things too.

I admit that it is contingent on us pushing them down below Major Naval Advantage and holding the jungle, but I want to point out that it's winter.  Our radar sees ships through the fog, our new carrier lets us deploy ship-wrecking Haasts in a massive, rapid quantity, and our jets are absolutely superior to literally any other plane on earth right now.  We have a very solid chance of holding the jungle and making the naval combat go in our favor.

The only downside is that this is all an investment for next turn - the aT-J04 would make the Thunderbird Expensive now.  I am of the opinion that the Sea Lift it is worth the investment (especially if we can drop the [Complex] tag while building a new jet later) but I understand why the aT-J04 is attractive and would not be upset if that was the revision instead.

Ideally, it shouldn't be any more complicated.

The Kraftei concept is little more than ensuring that your engines are self contained units that are easy to install, so that you can design, build and maintain them separately from the rest of the plane. Technically, it could allow easier construction by having dedicated production facilities rather than building the engine in the same place as the rest of the plane.

In addition, by sending the engine to be refurbished, you can extend their lifespan considerably, meaning you need less engines for the same amount of planes in the air.

I don't think we will ever be safe in the jungle to build a transport. So I want to pull the bandage now rather than having it loom over us forever.
Plus, if it can carry many salamanders, maybe it can help for landings?

edit: by the way, like evictedsaint I will not be upset if something else wins. All revisions are solid choices.

I don't have any issues with the other designs, but TC is the biggest problem and one that needs to be knocked out as early as possible, then on turns when we win the sea it will actually reap us benefits. Also, even if our TC is halved by naval advantage this will still earn us more TC...
