Other proposal for next turn's design, if we don't capture the Jungle:

NERA-40 'Rubber Eagle': Realising that the problem with ERA was unfortunately the E part, Forenian engineers reluctantly turned to less volatile options for reactive armour. Extensive experimentation involving filling the space between the plates with every substance they could get their hands on eventually led them to rubber. The shock created by the impact of an incoming projectile causes the rubber to expand. Altering the chemical composition of the rubber improves this effect, eventually leading to something not quite as good as ERA, but a heck of a lot safer, and stackable, increasing the effective strength.
The result are Rubber Eagle plates, which can be mounted onto pretty much any combat vehicle in Forenia's arsenal, providing a measure of protection against shaped charges (and other projectile types)

This would be Hard, but it could drastically increase the survivability of our tanks (and other vehicles).

The inert liner in NERA doesn't expand, it just bulges when hit.

In words of our Glorious Sensei - a diesel locomotive with a propeller.
I overfucked with effects. I still have the unedited one, so it's salvageable, but eh. Now also in sepia.
You really have a knack for drawing aircraft, Kot. Though the Haast#s propeller looks a wee bit small. Then again, the Haast was an unmigitated disaster when it came to speed so I suppose it fits.

Think you could do our tanks?

less volatile options
I suggest we have this man executed for heresy.

While I would normally agree, if a less volatile ERA makes our tanks more volatile to the enemy then its not 100% heresy. Minor roasting of fingers would be the appropriate response for lesser heresy of this degree assuming the idea works, otherwise fire up the stakes.

That sounds like pirate talk!

Now my proposal is the sane one.  See, first we scale up the deathball to be about 30% larger... then drop a pilot inside and have some rockets drilled into the thing that can be manually triggered to steer it.

We could put a pair of wings on the deathball.  They could then "kamakazi" Cannalan ships, but thanks to the protection from the boulder the pilots will be perfectly fine.

I do not really think trying to make a giant bolder aerodynamic enough so it can fly is a good idea.  The rockets were just for steering and placed completely inside with the pilot activating them only for short steering burst.

Maybe we could come up with some way for the pilot not to be spinning constantly also?

Could we not scale-down the death-ball and automate it? A death0ball that weighs only a single tonne would still be quite destructive, and if they were to be dropped in large numbers upon enemy manufacturing centres...

We could just make an air superiority fighter that carries a meager complement of deathballs for bombing. Only to support its air superiority role, of course.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Well it goes without saying that dropping a deathbal on an enemy bomber would be extremely effective.
