I still think we should go with a sub.

We could design a new jet bomber, or redesign the Bjorn to make it worth its price. Using the research credit (or not) and all-out focusing on making powerful engines for the new bomber would give us a high-speed low-altitude bomber with huge carrying capacity (though high speed need not be possible with the bombload).

We MUST do something to benefit the ground theater. Anything else is cute, but not going to keep them from jeopardizing the Desert Oil.

The only suggestions that'll legitimately help thr ground war so far are the Spectre and the Charmander.

I like the Charmander because it's relatively simple, and thus more likely to provide a solid benefit even if we roll poorly.  It's a safer bet than something completely new and will be massively effective in the jungle.

Yeah, I'll go with the Charmander. We shall not rest until the entire Tereshkova Jungle has been burnt to the ground.

The one thing I'm not sure about is why it has to be a Salamander pattern. If we're changing up the armor and removing transport capacity, why keep this as a transport in the first place? Why not make a specialized anti-infantry scout vehicle or something?

I think its cause usin the salamander as a base is easier than starting a new vehicle from scratch. Changing ERA to slats and putting fuel tanks where people would go aren't really huge changes.

Using the Salamander design means we don't have to start from scratch. It's fjord-capable, resilient against anything smaller than 30 mm, already has space for fuel and a turret, and most importantly of all - it fucking works.

It's one of the few things we've ever designed that actually does what it's supposed to, and does it well.  That is incredibly rare for us and is reason enough to base a new design off of it.

We could also design a set of napalm-based weapons (Sarukh rockets, aircraft rockets, PTAB bombs and/or regular bombs) plus a revision for tandem charges.

Yes, a revision. We've seen them in-universe and they are literally just a bit more rocket on the end of your rocket, with another explosive. That's it. Nothing more complex to it.

Well I for one realise the value of making our flame-thrower do double-duty as a rocket. The rest of you are free to continue being traitors. I hope you all enjoy your fill of "I Can't Believe it's not Vodka"...
