But no, destroyed outright only requires you to put enough of a dent in the keel that physics takes over and rends the ship in two.

Many torpedoes were capable of blowing a ship in two, a mine should have an easier time of it (Always under the ship, more often at a good height, needs no weight and complexity of a motor system, etc.)

Whalesong Acoustic Mine The Echo is a heavy, tethered mine. With a warhead significantly larger than our current torpedoes, it is capable of destroying all but the largest ships outright. It's accoustic sensor listens to the sound of nearby ships, and is both configurable for broad ranges of the spectrum (blowing up everything) or clearly defined frequencies (blowing up only certain classes of vessels). It includes a build-in configurable delay counter to allow a few ships to pass over unharmed. Though rather heavy, the Echo can be deployed by a modified Salamander parachute from the Reckless effect or Ice Giant in addition to various forms of naval deployement.

Whalesong Acoustic Mine: The Whalesong is a huge bomb floating off an underwater tether. It's triggered by sound received into a piezoelectric quartz device instead of direct contact, and can be configured to be sensitive to different frequencies, with the intent of targeting smaller or larger ships (or both), and it also has a delay fuze. Its large explosive charge and acoustic trigger mean can be effective some meters away from its target. (2 Ore, 3 Oil)

UFAF-AAM-43 "Pirate Seeker"

The United Forenian Anti-Air Missile "Pirate Seeker" is a reverse-engineered copy of Cannala's infamous MAGIC missiles.  The original missile was recovered from the fuselage of our notoriously hardy Reckless Effect after it had failed to detonate and become lodged. The recovered missile was analyzed and recreated through project "Steal The Fucking Missile Already" and is an entirely shameless copy (aside from the failed detonator) - duplicated down to the very part numbers.
