What if we just made it a vacation resort for them and forgot about the prisoner part?

We need to look like we aren't completely undermining them just yet.  Half thinking we should send along a design of our own so they take this deal and still give us the credit.
That didn't work last time we tried it, and I'm tired of giving the heils shit for nothing in return.

Seriously, fuck Germany at this point, and fuck Himmler especially.  Dude is the most war criminal fucker to ever set foot on Forenian soil.  Brazil might have the right idea, honestly.

I presume you are referring to the giving of permanent seats.  We had both flat out denied that and nothing was offered in the first place.

Again, nothing was offered in the initial posting of the mandate.  The jet was to not nuke the future in that case.  This time, something is on offer, the research credit.  If we go with what I am suggesting, we have kept our Jewish population out of the holocaust with no loss of living conditions while still getting a hold of that research credit that we can use the turn after to make proximity fuse shells, or advance into some theoretical stuff allowing for us to win the war faster.  Bonus, if the holocaust is revealed to the world, we can break ties instantly and shut it down.

Just so you know when that might be, roughly in the middle of the Winter 1942 turn is when vague rumors start coming in, and it only enters public knowledge in the Spring 1942/Summer 1943 turn (depending upon when November and December are).

Alright, you may have a point about that earlier situation, but I have to ask the question: do you genuinely believe that you can not fulfill the conditions for the research credit and still get the research credit? Because when it comes down to it, that's the truth. Any halfway measure we have previously proposed has been explicitly rejected, and when the question is our willingness to be led by the nose and send off the Jews like good little vassals, why would they reward us for explicitly swerving around their demands? We are not going to get anything from going halfway in a way that is clearly insincere on the surface level; we just have to say no.

I don't think they'll accept us using our own camps. Also, even if they would, I'd really rather not, even with the best of intentions, send jewish people to camps of any description. Not even summer camp.

I say we politely inform Himmler that we are taking measures to control our jewish population (lies) and will not require their assistance.

We should build a fake concentration camp, fill it with actors and invite Germans.
Then offer them a nice, warm shower.

Can you bring up which halfway measures we did that denied us credits?  Not being facetious, it's just that it is so long between turns I honestly can't remember.

Wait what? It was explicitly mentioned that we are failing at attacking islands because we don't have a lander, so we build moar radar? That's some Wands Race Arstotzka thinking there guys.

Quote from: LCM-42 "Barracuda" Landing Craft
A rectangular vessel, approximately 15m long and 5m wide (or big enough for our current largest combat vehicle) this craft has medium thickness tank armour on all four sides and is open topped, with a landing ramp on front. It is equipped with screw propellers allowing loaded travel at 6 knots, and is designed to carry anything from main battle tanks to platoons of infantry and safely deposit them on hostile shores. The sides of the vessel are high enough to protect a standing man, yet low enough for the turrets of our combat vehicles to fire over the top. It also contains hard points for two machinegun emplacements, usable if transporting infantry.

The British have been building these for four years, so it shouldn't be hard for us to develop our own. We will never make progress without a lander, so we need to do it now. It is fall now, so radar can wait another turn.

The plan is to convert one of our ships into a lander with a Revision, so we're not going Wands Race Arstotzka here, don't worry.

The idea is that we get the radar to help out the naval situation greatly, helping counteract whatever the yarrs did to regain their naval advantage (Let's be honest, we've almost certainly shocked them with the Tie, hell I was shocked at that!), keeping this wonderful window of opportunity open for just a little while longer for us to gain a foothold.

I was thinking we should do flares for a revision. That'll break their Night-Vision and their MAGIC missiles all in one.

Yeah, but their heat seekers and night vision aren't doing all that much yet, so we can wait on that.

Might be better to head off both before they get good though.

And there was one halfway method that was rejected, but it was rejected by us and not germany. And lets be honest, if we wanted to reject this we shouldn't have done that. And given that the soviets are gonna be worse in the warcrimes department, we can't afford to lose our alliance with germany.
