No, we're going to

Because we're NOT as ridiculous as the Cannalans.

And then next turn we've got to fix that stupid radar.

Hahahahahaha shit

Vodka decomplexification
Replace the 12 inch Victoria Cannons with Forenian 300mm Overcompensators hooked up to the fire director.
Replace the SPAAG anti-air turrets with Bumblebee anti-air turrets. That can also aim at ships.
Replace all Can Shredder autocannons with smaller Velociraptor autocannons, dual mounted if possible.
Get rid of the torpedo launchers because they are stupid.
Switch all the bolts to metric and translate the design away from drunken pirate speak.

Sad that no radar.
We could try to add another turret since canallan rader is large enough to take up a turret.

Vodka decomplexification (making the most of a bad situation)
Replace the 12 inch Victoria Cannons with Forenian 300mm Overcompensators hooked up to the fire director.
Replace the SPAAG anti-air turrets with Bumblebee anti-air turrets. That can also aim at ships.
Replace all Can Shredder autocannons with smaller Velociraptor autocannons, dual mounted if possible.
Get rid of the torpedo launchers because they are stupid.
Switch all the bolts to metric and translate the design away from drunken pirate speak.

Additionally, an extra overcompensator cannon (or failing that, cataphract cannon) is added where the radar should be.

These are functional changes. Word of GM says no functional changes when de-[Complex]ifying.

Please name your revision something else, since I doubt all the people voting for decomplexifying would support doing something the GM has outright stated we cannot do.

NAV, if you want that, it gets a second vote line/separate entry in the vote-box.

I encourage you to just not, as we need to not over-reach on a revision right now.

Alright. Ignore that please then.

I wouldn't consider removing the torpedoes overeaching at all. It's even easier than replacing them with out torpedoes, which is what would happen with a normal decomplex.

We could replace the torpedoes with Sarukhs, that should be little cost, and while we didin't waste it on anything to check if it works, it might work now? It does't seem like it's heavy or complex, and might be useful.

The Victoria is basically just our design this turn. Would have been nice to have radar, but we won't be left behind this turn by any means.

Normal: 3
Vodka Decomplexify:
The plans for the Victoria have been completely drafted over by a proper Forenian design team. Asburd, inconsistent Imperial units have been replaced with proper Metric ones, rum and coffee stains have been removed by a special document restoration team, and incredibly unprofessional last-minute notes and design changes have been worked into to plans instead of left scrawled in the margins. The Vodka is no longer [Complex].

Here's what we should try for next turn.  I know it's a crazy idea, but I really think we can do it.  I call it, the "Deadliest Ray"

Quote
Design:  RDN-41-3 "DEADLIEST RAY"
The most notable advancement by the Radar Defense Network Mk. 3 "Deadliest Ray" is the invention of the cavity magnetron.  Leaps and bounds smaller than the primitive radar installations currently used on land and sea by the Forenian Army, it is the culmination of several years of research and multiple attempts to improve the radar system itself.

This system is small enough to move from dedicated Cargo-Radar ships to being mounted in the command towers of military naval ships without sacrificing the turret stations.  It is small enough to be mounted on mobile trucks and SPAAG's for in-field radar detection and even mounted aboard a Haast or Lightning (or Reckless Effect, if space is not permitting) in order to provide mobile air-based radar command stations for aerial operations.  Rather than an entire battery of Overcompensator Shore Defense systems relying on a single radar installation, each may be mounted with its own radar system.

The primary goal is to make the radar as small as possible, more securely integrate it with our radar targeting systems to improve automatic targeting, mount it on all our ships, and to mount the system on at least the Reckless Effect.

Opens the way for proximity fuses, helps us on both land and sea, gives us a route for guided weapons, and it's all done by simply researching a time-period appropriate tech in a field we've fiddled with three times before now.  Hell, it may even help the Overcompensator by giving each gun its own radar.
