Just noticed 8 people are voting on what the half-inched Victoria should be called but only five are saying to steal it.

That is intentional (at least on my part). I don't necessarily agree we should steal it, but if we do, I have opinions as to the name.

...speaking of which, all the suggestions are UFN-whatever. Shouldn't that be UFS?

1 : Reintroduce the AS-MAT26-50 to give us airdroppable light tanks: 10ebbor10

The AS-MAT26-50 was our first tank destroyer. It has a 50 mm cannon, nearly no armor, and a fairly light engine. It should be lighter than a salamander and thus give our forces some extra versatility, and may even kill Canallan tanks if it tskes them in the rear.

AS-MAT26-50: A light tracked platform for the DT25 gun originally designed for the AS-T25 tank. Moves on a simply 8-cylinder motor and treads. It has thin RHA armor in the front only, with the rest open to the air. The DT-25 gun has an extended barrel with a muzzle brake, and is mounted on a front-facing armature with good side-to-side and vertical angling, for direct fire. It's bigger than the original, but outside of a turret this is fine. It include an AS-1924 for good measure against aircraft. Costs 4 ore, 2 oil.

Problem is the tracks and drive train of it will be heavier, and the fact it's open-topped means we can't effectively paradrop it with ammo.

Salamder weights 13 tonnes. Many tanks were lighter than that.

The Marder II (75 mm gun + actual armor) weights 10.8 and has actual armor. Ammo can be dropped separatly, as will the crew.
