Crystal is stronger and lighter as a structural metal. Would save a lot of weight in the jet aircraft.
Plus, the fact that it can be made completely transparent means it can have stronger cockpit AND higher visibility.
360° visibility without losing any protection!

So how do we go about archaeology? Do we design an archaeological bureau like Hitler did? Design a dig-site and hope it doesn't run dry? Design super-swiss-army trench-shovels and revise them to have a chance to uncover magic artefacts? Design Indiana Jones and watch all our sacred sites explode one after another just to recover a single palm-sized artefact that is promptly lost forever?

Just gonna say: Crystal isn't stronger and adamantine doesn't shatter when struck by lightning. Also, adamantine requires no maintenance, and, once summoned and shaped, needs no magic to continue.

Crystal can be 3D printed and holds an edge better than Adamantium.

Adamantium is temperature constant and less brittle.

3d printing isn't exactly an advantage.

Crystal also self-regenerates. What if an adamantine jet fighter gets shot at and suffers minor damage? Crystal would regenerate itself, making maintenance a thing of the past. Adamantine would require costly repairs.
And yes, 3D printing is an advantage.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Only for small, fiddly components. And regeneration isn't exactly an advantage if it breaks in the first place. Adamantine isn't exactly costly to repair as well.

I think crystal is also a bit lighter.

And lets be honest: we are not going to encounter that many lightning attacks in this war, plus in 1941 lightning shielding should be an easy tech.

Unfortunately for crystal, there's a lot more HE flying around. Brittleness isn't something we want near that sort of thing; shrapnel sucks to be on the receiving end for.

Just a friendly reminder to remain civil about things that are only mildly relevant to the current game. And to avoid revealing any military secrets. I don't feel that anyone has crossed any lines, but it looks like it could happen soon if this topic continues unrestrained.

How exactly can we not reveal military secrets in a thread where every design choice is a military secret?

He means military secrets of wands race.
We were having a fight about who had the best magical material.

Well, given that all designs concerning Adamantine and Crystal are now shared between both groups immediately, it doesn't matter.

However, adamantine may or may not be entirely indestructible. It would require a little spellwork to reshape it, but all the parts of the plane should still be inside the plane.

On the topic of things we could use designs and revisions, what about implementing an improved artillery system with adaptable targeting computers, proximity fuses, and fire control systems that are easily adaptable to be used on the various artillery pieces we have, including those on our tanks?

I would first work out the glide bomb, and then perhaps even some form of transistors or whatever advanced tech we need for decent computing in order to facilitate smart(er) warfare.
