Given the heavier armor and relatively poor engines on the Victoria, it's safe to say that our carriers can escape. Especially given massive advance warning by our aircraft.

They still have the Khorne though, which is faster and heavily armed.

Faster being very relative, as I understand it. Heavily armed ALSO relative.

However, yes, they have a complete set of warships we can't catch right now. So let's go around the dumb things and fight from the air.

The only warship we desperately need for our air to be effective though, is an escort for our carriers. Once our carriers have an escort, then air will actually be a viable strategy.

Then revamp destroyers.

Explain to me, exactly why do we need cruisers instead of simply better destroyers. I disagree and likely already know the arguments, but I want to spell out both sides for everybody else. Also, I am very lazy, and cannot be bothered explaining the differences between a cruiser and a destroyer.

I'm not anti-cruiser, and I figure we need to fuck around with the naval front sooner or later, albeit preferably with an espionage credit.
But I want that TC.
I NEED that TC.

And then, there were 8. Also, then there were JETS EVERYWHERE.

What could possibly go wrong?

The Khorne has guns similar to the cruiser we're proposing. The Cavalier will get his ass kicked

If the khorne has similar guns then ours have much better range.

Oh yeah and we're already planning on revising fire control to the overcompensator, that could be just as easily applied to the cruiser with the same revision allowing it to make full use of that better range.

You're making an smbitious naval design and revising a torpedo in a single action. If you go for the cruiser, odds are you'll be fixing it flaws, not rdvising it.

Oh, and rocket shells comes at the cost of lethality

Maybe the torpedo is better left for a separate revision later.

I can't remember that being a problem.

Our carriers were perfectly effective for a long time. Their problem is the Cannalan  carrier not yheir cruisers.

If the ice giant can airdrop salamanders, it'd be a game changer.  Beach landings won't be the only way in.

We should probably revise some parachutes that are Salamander sized or something, eventually.
