Blood eagle.
As in, tie somebody to a pole, open his chest and pull out the lungs, without detaching them, while he is still alive. It takes quite a bit to die and is painful enough that Norsemen believed that if you died without screaming, that was enough to get in Valhalla with the greatest warriors.
That is what we promised to do to evictedsaint had ERA failed, and the reason the project got its name.

You threatened him with that and were collectively dumb enough to go along anyway?

I didn't vote for that and I am not voting for it now. In my opinion, too ambitious for a revision. Sure, will work if we get a 5 or 6. But we should try to get something simpler.

Then believe in him without wasting votes on a project that's just going to soak up too many designs and revisions. We gotta use a design on ERA...but not this turn. Or next turn. We've got some ideas on Discord for next turn.

Infantry Quality of Life:
There are a number of small things our infantry have been requesting for a while now. By themselves, they are not worth our time. Combining them changes matters.
-Boots. A good pair of boots. Infantry love boots.
-Binoculars. We've enough experience with lenses that we can surely design a decent pair.
-Medkits. A little first aid can save hundreds of lives. More to the point, knowing that help is available improves morale.
-Sunglasses. You try shooting someone with the sun in your eyes.
-Bayonets. Sometimes you just need a knife. On the end of your gun.
We shall spend our time trying to develop as many of these as possible.

Guys, I want to point out that the infantry thing is a design for next turn. Add to it if you can come up with something (Or a nice name. We need nice names to influence Sensei's judgements inspire our troops.)

Such as:

I was suggesting it as a revision for this turn, actually. Which is why I didn't include parachutes, since that is too ambitious.

Oh just save it, please. We need that radar to regain some MORE air superiority, making paratroopers much more valuable next turn.

I think we can hope to pull off parachutes as well. Not radios, I agree, but a bit of parachuting should be simple enough. At worst, it will not be included.

-Entrenching tools (foldable/collapsible spades).
-Sandbags.
-Engineering equipment (more sandbags, dedicated tools like wire cutters, barbed wire, small axes, pickaxes, etc)
-Vests, bags, bandoliers, pockets and pouches, even elbow ones.
-Waterproof camo cloaks.
-Knee and elbow pads.
-Gloves.
-Fire retardant uniforms.
-Winter and tropical versions of the uniforms.

I'm saying save up a few more and use a design on it. It combines our aerial advantages with ground-forces use, and ought to be worth a design. Especially as I'd include the parachutes, RPG (For weight reduction), and all the above infantry improvements into one bundle. And then the revision for lighter radios, and in one turn we've suddenly got massively more effective paratroopers, AND regular soldiers.

Plus, with Kot's expanded list, which are all good ideas, we're going to NEED that full design strength.

Please, off of Blood Eagle.

We get NO BONUSES to it. We rolled a 2 on a Very Hard design. We needed at least a 3 to bring the difficulty down to hard this time. It's going to be very hard, and we will not get anything useful out of it.

Infantry QoL seems better, assuming we don't already have those things. The reactive armor is probably something to shelve until later when we're better at chemistry and metallurgy.
