@Strongpoint yes, that is what everyone kept saying. Still more aerodynamic knowledge is a good result. whop knows, maybe it helped the torpedo!

@Azzurro We have the option to not deploy it and keep it secret.

Allegedly (as in, they said this in the discord) they did go for jet engines (of some sort). Whether they were even remotely successful is unclear- they claim to have rolled a 6, but that may be bluster.

Hm... 6 on a jet engined car may be... worrisome but I still doubt that it will make jet fighters an easy route for them and will love them going there while we go more for more practical routes.

Vague ideas for the next turn

a) New piston-engine fighter meant to be expensive or very expensive
b) Dedicated scout aircraft
c) Torpedo bomber
d) Very heavy bomber
e) Scout vessel built around its own radar.
f) Very fast small motor torpedo boat that have features of a racing boat
g) Submarine
h) Rocket artillery of any kind. Preferably usable in the navy
i) Next generation radar
j) APC\IFV

I strongly believe we should spend our next revision on revising the radar to be ship-mounted and/or vehicle-mounted, but not so sure for the design phase. Scout plane and rocket artillery sound good, though.

It depends on how greatly we impact their naval advantage this turn- in the discord they were whining because they think that we are literally going to level the playing field at sea. If that were true (which obviously it isn't), we might want to consider a lander, to give us a hope in hell of retaking lost islands.

If we need help in the jungle, some amphibious armour to match (or indeed exceed) theirs would be useful.

If we struggle to maintain a hold in the plains/mountains, or if we do reasonably everywhere, rocket artillery would be my choice. Land based to start with, but giving us something to base guided missiles off of, which could then be deployed in the air and at sea.

Everything bolded is things I like the sound of. Of course, some of these are more important and needed faster then others but I think we can all agree the radar revision for it to be mounted on ships is needed.

Nope. I think we need a new radar design for that. The current system is useless on a single ship or on several vessels in a joint task force

Instinctively, I think we should spend the design on a ship-mounted radar system (preferably 2 per ship to allow triangulation).  But without seeing the combat phase it's tough knowing what we need.  Who knows, maybe we need a new bomber or tank or lander or something.

This is a good assessment.

Pretty sure making the RADAR smaller can be accomplished with a revision, but we'd need Sensei to weigh in to be positive.

Making it smaller may be possible. Making it smaller and more advanced is something I prefer to do with a full design instead of trying a mega-revision. This radar is too primitive to be useful on ships.
