So... I need 3 x 8/9/10s out of 4 dice? And could win or lose reasonably big.

Or 1? And could win nothing and lose reasonably small.

Unfortunately my urge to play IC is greater than my urge to head maths.

"Uhhh... totally. I could probably handle at least two ch- er people at once. Yeah."

Stan can totally handle waking up naked and alone and bleeding in the street because this is what will happen! Yeah! Challenge A.

edit: I ALREADY REGRET THIS

Well, you could always burn one your 1 savvy to get an extra die...

Ah, in all the checking of the meaning of critical challenges and looking up my cards again I totally overlooked that option.

Hell yes!

Stan will quickly down another beer's worth of Extra Savvy Die!

It's still quite unlikely though, eh.

Interestingly, adding one die here actually doubles your odds of success, from 8% to 16%.

By a fun coincidence, that's the same odds as rolling a 6 on a d6!

3d10 Savvy: 3, 6, 9. 1 Success. Challenge Failed.
+3 Knowledge
+3 Stress

The song grows louder as you cast about through the empty halls, peering into  empty auditoriums as you struggle to find a source. The voice grows louder with each passing moment, and the music fills you- it fill you up with someone that is almost you.

Memories collide and mingle... Images yourself reflected inward, scarred and wrapped from head to toe in bandages. Images of yourself in black suit and a wearing a hangman's noose like a tie. Images of yourself, half naked and scribbling frantically on a wall. The music is the story of your life told in multiplicity, each timeline a thread cast from the spindle of eternit-

"Are you okay?"

The music stops, and the sudden feeling of living a thousand lives in a moment shatters like a dream. You're sitting against the wall of one of the music rooms, clutching your head in your hands. The world feels normal again, and the events of the past several moments feel more impossible by the moment. There's an old man in a tweed jacket standing over you, looking concerned.

You make a quick excuse about a headache and make a quick exit, feeling the old man's eyes on you the entire time.

(2+1 For ability)d10 Knowledge: 10, 1, 7 Pass!
+1 Tech
Next Step of lead revealed.
Optional Resolution revealed.

The little butterfly is marvelously intricate, its casing constructed in layers and each layer of metal carapace joined with such organic precision that you can almost image it actually growing. The construction is flawless, and you can imagine it''s worth a considerable amount of money, if sold to someone who valued it.

Fascinatingly, you can't find a mainspring in any of the exposed areas in the abdomen, and that seems to be the only part of the butterfly large enough to house a spring large enough to keep the creature running for more than an hour. There has to be something in the thorax, which is completely shielded, that is keeping this thing going. You'd need to take it apart, however, to find whatever that something is...

Gain Flesh Market Membership

You lose the rest of the night in a swirl of inebriation, red-flecked eyes, hot skin, and devilishly sharp teeth.

You wake up the next morning in an empty, but extremely tussled, bed. There are scratches on your back, bite marks on your shoulders, and yet somehow you've never felt better in your life.

Aside from the marks on your body and the damage to your sheets, the only other sign of the girls is a business card on your nightstand. It's grey, and 'THE FLESH MARKET' is written in metallic all-caps on the front. On the reverse is an address to a part of old-town within the warrens, and a symbol identical to the tattoo you saw on one of the twins.

The aurora fades, yet the world seems a little different after its passing...

Work on a potential forum game for my return to Bay12. Figure out parts that puzzled me before. Find more things to figure out that I can't. Work on another game instead of solving them. Get distracted and stop working. Remember it a week or two later. Remember I'm still on hiatus. Illogically, Be too ashamed to return yet. Repeat ad nauseam.

Finally have a game completely ready. Wait a week before posting it out of laziness.

Remember from the OP, turns have an A and a B phase.

In the A phase, you declare what you're going to investigate/do whatever. Then I tell you what conflict (if any) happens when you investigate/do whatever. Then in the B phase you allocate resources and determine how you're going to resolve the conflict. Then I tell you how well your attempt  at resolution went and set up the next round.

Interaction Card,
Bizarrely Friendly People
Type: Event
Challenge: Advanced Savvy
-Pass: Gain 2 Savvy, Draw a contacts asset.
-Fail:  Gain 2 Savvy
-Crit-Fail: Gain 1 Stress

You know those people who just seem to have a smile all the time and greet you in a friendly and upbeat manner regardless of the situation? There's a hunting pack of them running through the dorms. They're knocking on all the doors and talking to all the people. One of them is wearing a sandwich board boasting 'free hugs', another is wearing an ushanka cap smoking a sugar stick- offering extras to everyone she passes.

They're going to find you. They're going to ask you what what your major is, what your favorite band is, what you like to do on weekends, and there's nothing you can do to stop them.

'One Night' Stan
Interaction Card
Pop-Quiz, hotshot
Type: Event
Challenge: Any Knowledge.
-Pass: Gain 2 Knowledge for passing standard, 3 for passing advanced, and 5 for passing critical.
-Fail:  Gain 1 Knowledge
-Crit-Fail: None

Classes, the worst part of college. Yet, somehow, they remain a necessary evil. The teacher is droning on about ancient egyptian algebra in an accent that makes him sound like a runner-up bond villain. You've almost managed to fall asleep in your chair (you need it, considered how little you got last night), when a piece of paper hits your desk.

There's a shitload of little squiggles everywhere, with arrows and lines and numbers. Your heart rate calms slightly when you tune back in to the teacher telling the students this is just extra credit, and you can pick any one of the three problems to solve. Harder problems, more credit.

Mawe
Interaction Card
Technical Issues
Type: Event
Challenge: Standard Tech.
-Pass: Gain 1 Knowledge and 1 Tech, OR draw a contact asset.
-Fail: None
-Crit-Fail: Lose 2 Savvy.

There was supposed to a tech demo during one of your classes. Emphasis on 'supposed'. The TA is having more than a little difficulty getting their laptop and the projector to work together. The seem a bit embarrassed by the kawaii-as-fuck laptop wallpaper that keeps popping up on the screen instead of the presentation slides.

You're pretty sure you could fix it, but then you'd be 'that guy', the one that gets up and actually helps the teacher instead of sitting passively and making disgusted faces.

Rylie
Interaction Card,
Fortune Teller ---> Horrifying Man due to rough neighborhood.
Type: Event
Challenge: Lethal Combat (HP: 6, Might: 3) OR Advanced Savvy
-Combat Pass: Draw 1 asset, draw 1 action, gain 1 knowledge.
-Challenge Pass: Evade Combat
-Fail: None
-Crit-Fail: Horrifying Man gets a free attack.

The architecture of the warrens, cramped and foreboding, means that light only really reaches the street during high noon. Any other angle lets the old buildings cast long shadows that meet and mingle, making even an early afternoon walk a dark one.

You become aware that you're being followed a few minutes after checking out a shady little antique store. The man stalking you is enormous, and you catch glimpses of him every time your turn a corner. You try and tell yourself that it's your imagination, hyped up on the news stories of crime waves and people going missing, but you can't shake it.

Nor can you shake him. Three random turns later and his reflection still dogs your step in every window you pass. Eventually, you turn on your heel to face him and see what the hell he's up to.

When you turn, however, there's nothing there. Confused, you turn back, and find your face inches from your pursuer's. There's a rictus grin etched into his face, and his eyes mad. He clutches a simple kitchen knife in his right hand, held low. Something crusty, brown, and uncomfortably blood-like coats the blade and most of the man's sleeve up to the elbow.

Perhaps it's the sudden shock of adrenaline and terror, but it seems like there's something moving under his skin, a twisting skein of glowing blue and green.

So... This isn't an exam, is it? I'd better take the standard challenge!

Also, 'any' knowledge? I have just one?

Any knowledge means you can choose any rank (Standard/Advanced/Critical), and get benefits depending.
