Ask Zavi's baboon to help Zavi land safely. Be right there and grab her for prompt medical assistance via Ape spell, if necessary.
If my business is wrapped up with her, next up is to get Benedict fitted for his harness. Basically I want it to be strong enough to attach cloth or armour panels to it, and to allow for baggage to be hooked to him and carried easily. Include getting some bags made for the current job he's going to be doing. Also, make sure it's upsizeable.

Alright so I'm assuming you want less of a harness in the old version of thinking about it and more like what amounts to a sort of full body or partial body leather harness with belts and attachment points. The belts are easy and pretty cheap; its basically just a JRPG nightmare of a ton of different belts which can be adjusted as the birb get big (or small). The difficult part is the attachment points for bags, armor, cloth, etc. Because they need to be sturdy enough to hold bags and armor but also to be able to be shifted around to deal with different sizes and configurations of the harness. The best way to do this is probably through the use of removable metal brackets that can be "snapped" onto the belts and hold on in a way not dissimilar from belt buckles. These are more expensive because they're metal and specially made. Overall it can be done by your average blacksmith, but will take a bit, a lot of fitting, and a good amount of coin. He's probably gonna as between 45-60 gold depending on your negotiating skills. [4+2v6] So we'll call it 50 gold.
It appears to be in the textiles area, where raw fabrics and the like are sold. Long rows of shops and storefronts with rolls of silks and great piles of wool, fax, hemp, etc. Smells like a million different chemicals and a bit of urine, which they apparently use as a fixative for colors.
Keep investigating, try to get closer to the source of the signal. Note: this action has precedence over the stuff below, I'd rather we make more progress here even if it means the questions below are ignored for the time being.
I'll put it to you like this: The only method I've thought of would be to manipulate space within a specific bubble such that you artificially increase the distance away from any other of that object. Thats the only thing I can think of, but If you get a better idea, I'll be open to it. I don't have a specific way thought out, but if you can do it I won't say no.
You mean in general, or specifically for our current situation? For the latter, one easy way might be to give the diamonds to Ecalir, have Darwin leg it to the middle of bumfuck nowhere and then transport the diamonds through the paradox snails one by one, since you said these can be used to transport small items and you've been describing these diamonds as fairly small. If the diamonds are too big we could break them into smaller pieces and push them through like that (though smaller diamonds are probably less desirable and thus less valuable). Would this idea work? Or would the 'signal' of diamond presence bleed through through the paradox snail as well?
Another option would be to fuse all the small diamonds together into 1 megadiamond, making it much more desirable and maybe dealing with the rarity issue. I don't know however if the size of the now single diamond itself would act against it's own worth because there is so much diamond in the local area by volume/weight, even though there is only one actual diamond present and thus it's fairly 'rare', as well as the fact that all of it is being converted at once. (Of course, I'd rather not perform a spell on them if possible since a bad roll could mess them up.)
Another idea would be a spell that temporarily transforms the diamonds into something else I suppose. Or to get some people together and use a spell to make them crave diamonds to an extreme amount, making them more desirable (at least in the local area) and maybe boosting their worth that way?
Then there is the problem of reducing thaum payouts as one converts the same thing for too long, like with the jade. Could you expand a bit on how this works, and how to counteract it (eg. do you just need to wait for it to reset, or convert to thaum a certain amount of other materials, or convert a certain amount of thaum worth of stuff? )

You focus in on a single building, a warehouse containing leather products. The thing is definitely in that building, though where in there you're not sure since you can't get in. Or rather...the doors are locked so getting in would be socially unacceptable as is. This is an important distinction. Especially where Eclair is concerned.
That would be a reasonable way to do it, yes. I was mostly just talking about purely magical ways of "Tricking" that law of reality. It is perfectly viable to just run away and do each conversion one at a time at a distance.
That's what I figured. The petals are leading back to town now, so there's no reason to rest, I can do that when I'm in town. Follow the petals back to town, and more importantly to the tracker. He's an important witness who witnessed the Ray taking off into the air with me on board, also he's most likely in custody of the beetle I rented.
Pay the tracker once I meet up with him and ask what happened to the beetle. Also offer him a 5 gold bonus if he agrees to tell everyone of my exploits.
Then head to the relevant authorities and get paid for killing a Ray, show off my trophy as proof and be sure to mention every single detail about the fight.
After that it's shopping time!
Inquire about d10 armor, how much more expensive and bulky is it compared to d8 armor?

You struggle on towards town but somewhere around...you have no sense of what time it is...you collapse from exhaustion in the desert. Its not so hot but the strain of the battle and god knows how many miles of hiking through soft and shifting sands catches up to you like a ton of bricks. You're also very thirsty.
[6v2]
You wake up sometime in the mid morning the next day and struggle up. You're sore all over, even more thirsty than before, but you push forward regardless and reach town sometime around sunset. You drink 3 silver worth of water within a few minutes and then, quenched, catch up with the tracker. He indeed does have the beetle and is frankly astonished to see that you're alive. You pay him, return the beetle and get your deposit back, then ask around until you find the right official to pay you for the ray. He is at first skeptical but your trophy (along with some bone in the the Rose) and the witness of the tracker convince him. He hands over 390 gold, the current going rate for giant rays it seems.
D10 is plate armor and your End ain't high enough to use it. You need d10 end or d8+2 end to handle it. Its pretty heavy and cumbersome but a good set won't restrict you in most cases. Just don't try to swim in it. As per price, its quite expensive. Think it the rough 500 range.
d8 rifle is about 150 gold I think.
"You know, you'd think that form would really kill my boner, but i guess I like a challenge. So, is there any chance I can convince you to stop murdering people and come along on my adventures as my paramour? And I mean, without trying to kill me all the time while you're at it? I'm sure we can find plenty of villains and other undesirables to feed to you. Why, the bounty board is offering quite a reward for some child diddler that skipped town recently. Kinda disgusting, but I bet we could make good money if we could return what's left of his corpse to the authorities.
Don't get me wrong. If you wanna go at it, I'm happy enough to oblige."
Negotiate. Emphasize the last point by waving my dagger in her direction. If negotiations fail, Cast [porcelain] on her chitin - to make it fragile. Cast [force] on myself to increase my leg and arm power and leap forward, throwing the light sphere hard at her center of mass and lunging into her face dagger first. May as well attempt to gain a material while I am at it. [spider] or [monster] or something.

There is a long second after you speak where the spider is just sort of staring at you. It is very quiet and you can feel the tension in the room like a lead weight on your throat. And then, as sudden as it began, it ends. There is a flicker, a flowing of shadow and the woman is back in front of you, oddly still without her clothing. Guess that wasn't an illusion. You idly wonder which form is the real one now. Her manner is colder now, more business like, but not overtly hostile. She crosses her arms and looks at you somewhat skeptically.
"If you're after me it means my presence has already been discovered. What do you propose as a bargain?"
