Prism walks down the stairs, spiraling down into darkness until he can't see anything. The whole time he keeps repeating his announcement. Eventually, the stairs end and he finds himself in a room. Or maybe just a landing on the stairway? in this darkness, he can't really tell. But as he stands there, leaning against the wall to keep his bearings in the dark, he hears something. Like a distant tinking; like xylophone music behind a door or bells played underwater. He can't see the spirit, nor can he look at his charm, but he feels like it must be close by.
Bang: The man acts startled and confused like someone just jumped him for no reason. He waves his hands around nervously and takes a few steps back before sputtering "S-s-s-sorry, sir? Just doing my shopping for the day?". Bang squints at him, trying to decern any sort of motive or hidden malevolence; but can't find anything that would suggest he's lying.
Aurum watches the interaction between his boss and the stalker but finds nothing about it to be terribly interesting, to the point that he begins to think he made a mistake. He does, however, manage to catch a tiny albino praying mantis.
Zackrine yells into the night but gets no response. [1v6][10v4] She fires a bolt out into the dark and a moment later something roars out of the tallgrass. Its a lion, pale fur with a black mane, and seemingly full-grown but relatively small compared to most of the other creatures around here. It charges at you and you side step it, dodging away as it swipes at you and putting the fire between yourself and it.
Zamia and Zach both hang out with the hunters. Zamia takes a turn on watch sometime around midnight and is sitting in the boughs of a tree near the camp when she hears something. Zach and everyone else are asleep, so the quiet talking can't be them. She hears someone speaking in the woods, out in the dark near the river. Whispering. She squints into the dark and sees, just barely, what looks like a skinless animal head looming out of the brush near the river bank. It seems to be staring right back at her.
Zrell: The man stares at you. Stares at you really intently but doesn't say anything.
Zruril: Hmm well you'll get free in character and ooc knowledge of that town itself, sure. However, you're close enough to alkahest that the locals here can't really tell the difference between you and them. They won't mug you but they're not gonna be very trusting of you either.
And yeah, you shared your words.
Ma'o: The doctor agrees to give you treatment if you will get him something; a jar full of silverroot plant, that grows in the caves around here. He warns that it is quite dangerous.
Brine and Xod: [5v5] Brine inspects the zeppelin. He comes to the conclusion that all he needs to do to fix it is check to make sure the balloon has no holes, check all the rigging to make sure nothing is snapped or weakened, and then get some fuel to let it fly. Otherwise it seems totally intact.
Xod thinks about how to transport it back. He figures they might be able to make due with their own brute strength, but it would take a long while to drag it home on their own, not to mention it would be very tiring. A cart would be the easiest method.
The tablet is covered in some sort of cuniform script, but more interestingly, has half of a magical symbol on it; the kind that a flesh scroll could use! It is however, incomplete. Hmm. It might be possible, with a little information about the tides of this lake, to get a good guess of where this tablet came from and perhaps trace it back to the source. If there are tablets like this somewhere underground, there might be many more symbols as well.
Ulmin is much less rat infested compared to other towns, making most of its money and food via trade, however there are still plenty for the taking. You use 1 gold worth of your money (5 silver) to buy yourself a dozen small cage traps. They're simple things but they catch the rats alive. You find yourself employment as a rat catcher and basically just hang around for a few days, letting the cages do the work. You catch about a dozen mice, which only nets you 1 silver, but it is probably enough for a decent rat king.
Nina: You ask the locals about a way to the town itself and they direct you towards the enormous angellic statues that lie on either side of the town. Apparently someone from Fearce has recently rigged up a kind of "Pully cart" that travels between the two statues and stops in Phaganeda. They charge a few copper to ride it, but are willing to trade for goods or work.
