Name: Zamia the Lost

Appearance: A cryptic figure, wearing a solid bone mask, and covered head to toe in furs and leather reinforced with bone, antler, tooth, horn, and all other manner of once living material. Upon closer inspection, one would notice that this figure has hundreds of beads and talismans, again made of bone and like materials, threaded on as well. This person also carries a wicked barbed spear, that seems to inflict pain just by looking at it.

Venandi Zamia is a hunter, once scouring the lands for greater and mightier beasts (and men) to fell. Zamia now uses their skills just to survive; but is always looking for path back to glory.

Zamia hangs out at the base until a group of strange men show up. They say they are hunters from Alkahest, here hunting some manner of beast that has haunted the waterway. They say that your leader has told them to pick you up here before moving on, since you would want to be part of the hunt.

Zrell: Its a long walk, a very long walk indeed. It takes two days from the base to reach the fortress, but you manage to make it without running into any trouble.  The fortress itself predates Alkahest and the current kingdom; a remnant from ancient times slowly updated and built upon by every kingdom which controlled these lands. The hill it's on is quite steep and the only real way up is via a stone stairway. From the outside all you can see of the fortress is a huge circular wall of yellowish stone blocks. It is massively tall and extremely thick; scarred with the gouges and burns of ancient sieges. Within the walls is the fortress itself, now more town than military structure. At the far end of the encircled area is the remnants of a castle like structure. Its towers, made of the same stone as the walls, fell at some point in the past and the remaining lower sections have been built on top of by the current tenants. It's an odd thing to see; what seems like the foundation of a soaring tower ending abruptly in a modern alehouse or guild hall. The rest of the open space within the walls is filled with both modern homes and structures as well as toppled ruins and scattered stone structures.

You walk in and head to the main square. You're standing in the road, looking around when you see something strange. Its a group of three men, all acting oddly. There's a bounty board and table rewarding those who bring in bounties. One man is presenting the skull of a beast to them; he looks quite odd too musclar and stylized. One of his companions has a ghost charm and is actively waving it around. The second is crawling in the dirt, apparently looking for insects. They are not normal people.

Zackerine follows zruril.

Zach follows the hunters to get Zamia.

Zruril: You wander around town for a while, trying to sense the tone of the interactions. There seems to be a degree of resentment here; the locals are not mistreated by and large, but the Alkis don't respect them nor their property. And the locals don't respect the invaders either, thinking they are either idiots, drunkards or layabouts. Which many of them are. Revolution is possible, but it would require raising the tensions here, turning it from disrespect to hatred.

Zoh: They look like they can handle themselves in a fight.

Bang: You walk to the town center and find the bounty table. You place the skull on the table in front of the men and then hold out your hand. There's a few minutes of mumbling but they eventually give you 10 gold for the skull. You want to keep the skull and they insist on marking it to make sure you don't try to turn it in several places for the same bounty.

That done, you check the bounty board. There are lots of jobs there, most of them for hunting local troublesome animals or local criminals. The biggest bounties are on a group of bandits supposed to be hanging around between Marchpane and Zaffre, and on...a bird called the gold razor wing? It looks quite pretty on the drawing.

As per turning the skull into a helmet, you manage to track down the nearest armorer and ask him. He recommends buying a normal hemlet and affixing the skull to it since the skull is not terribly protective.

Who would you like to ask about the ruins?

Prism wanders off, looking for the spirit. His quest takes him over to the remnants of the main fortress structure. The charm leads to what looks like a basement door embedded in the ground.

Aurum: you find a small beetle. You ask at the shops for old coins. They tell you they don't carry such things, but recommend that if you're looking for them, you should check  areas near the Black Flux. That done, you follow prisim.

Ma'o: [4v2] You smash the hand with your club and manage to tear yourself free. You fall to the ground and then run away from the  thing as fast as you can. Or at least as far as the rope around your waist lets you. You stop maybe 30 feet away and look back. The hand has pulled itself back underground.  (Injuries heal over time. As per the blind thing [3v3], it's temporary. Your best bet is to find a doctor, but failing that, find someplace safe and rest)

Brine: The corpses are literally charcoal. When you try to cut into them, they crunch and crumble away like burnt wood.  As per ways of getting the Zep up, the most simple way would be to pull it up via ropes.

 You buy the iron and coal, paying 20 gold for them. You then head home. The bags of coal plus the iron yeild you only 2 mana. Guess iron and coal aren't rare enough.

You ask around for Thaum mechanics, but there don't seem to be any hanging around here. They point you toward Fearce if you're looking for the machine minded. You head towards the edge of town and quickly come across rows upon rows of what look like small fisheries; buildings with wooden cranes, and pulley systems lowering long lines with metal nets down into the violently swirling water below. You ask around and eventually someone tells you that you're looking for "Salvadoir's". Some more searching eventually brings you to a small, dark blue building with "SALVADOIR" painted in dull gold on the front.   

Nina: "These people seek enlightenment of the organization of the deep! They desire to know what it is like, under lake. Their pilgrims are often seen in our towns." The monkfish doesn't seem fazed.
