Sera swiftly dodges under the coming blade of the orc, and returns with a slash to his legs, trying to cut them from under him and get it off it's feet. After doing so, she would approach the fort, trying to avoid coming arrows.

Crocoite's eyes locks on to the form of the Stalker, it's armor shuddering and reforming itself into plated metal to resist slashing attacks.

Fort
Turn Three
~Battle Theme: March to Deliverance~
Objective: Defeat Scrak Rainfire

The magical thunderstorm resumes raging, but the energy behind it is beginning to fade, presumably due to the larger-than-average amount of bolts it's been throwing down. Or the residual interference of whatever the weapon was mounted it is screwing with it, as evidenced by its absolute failure to hit anyone....except Scrak himself. Caught off-guard by once, the bolt strikes Scrak directly, staggering the orc and sending him backwards. Though not too hurt, it's pretty clear that the bolt hurt very hard, yanking himself to a prepared stance and with his eye towards Ryuko, who continues eyeing him with a predatory glare. The thunderclouds, having done their job, subside.

....which is perfect timing for Hector, because, managing to time his shot just right to eliminate the cleric hiding up on the walls, does so with perfect timing and aim, acting in tandem with the environment. His gun snaps to around the right spot with practiced, unnatural speed, releasing a burst of bullets straight into the centre of mass; the head would be too small, but the body would likely be easier to pierece. The cleric falls to the ground from a spray of bullets, his wounds seared by the ignition rounds as they burn their way through what remains of his divine power, to continue fighting as his allies yank him to safety. A few arrows land near Hector, one dangerously close to his face, but none manage to hit him.

Tanis and Sera, meanwhile, face off against the remaining ambusher. His wide swing is easily evaded by the swift cyborg girl, who manages to duck beneath and slash at his legs. The wounded orc tumbles forwards straight into Tanis, who, seeing a perfect opportunity, manages to stab upwards with his lance and finish the orc off, throwing him onto his back into the muddy, damp ground of the marsh. The pitiful groan emerging from his mouth as he rolls around and clutches his wounds tells you he's not likely to get up soon. Sera, satisfied with the defeat of their enemy, begins heading deeper into the fort, passing through the wall Ryuko bashed open.

The monster that was Ryuko, meanwhile, releases an inhuman scream- somewhere between a roar and what appears to be a laugh- and yanks the arrow from her shoulder, blood trailing from the cut as the wound begins to seal shut, as if it had never happened. Still screeching, Ryuko leaps onto the nearest orc with a hateful yell, her hands a flurry of deadly rage. However, her rage blinds her as her hands clutch at thin air, the orc managing to tumble back and draw a club to try and bat her away, swatting at her. His attempt, however, is even more of a failure than Ryuko's, and his swipe goes wide as the girl yanks herself back, a bloodthirsty gleam in her eyes.

Florida takes advantage of the chaos caused by his allies to line up and take a perfect shot at Scrak's head.

A single breath taken. The trigger is pulled.

The laser burst lands straight on Scrak's forehead, causing the orc to fall over with a scream. What may surprise Florida, however, is that unlike most victims of such a well-executed shot, Scrak manages to pull himself to his feet, shaking his head, clearly dazed and very hurt, but not dead yet. Florida manages to yank himself back as several arrows fired by Scrak's allies converge upon his position, kicking up small bits of dust as they land harmlessly away from him.

Nobunaga, dissatisfied with his earlier attempt at raining hellfire on the warlord, attempts to follow up on Florida's shot by firing at him over the wall, shooting once. His shot still falls far and wide, despite the warlord being dazed by Florida's assault, but Nobunaga, prepared, shoots where Scrak moves, searing a hole into the orc's shoulder.

Infuriated by the shot and dizzied by the sniper's attack, Scrak makes an attempt at attacking Nobunaga, showing a display of sheer will to do so. Notching an arrow into his bow, Scrak takes careful aim, steadying himself despite his injuries, before loosing an arrow with such force as to break Nobunaga's shields, piercing the man's shoulder and sending Nobunaga staggering backwards, such is the force of his shot. His men, despite the damage dealt to them by the others, are rallied to battle once more.

The remaining clerics resume patching up the wounds of their remaining comrades as they fire back with their bows. Ryuko being the most exposed, takes a bit of fire as another arrow pierces her stomach. She, however, doesn't seem so bothered by it, simply yanking it out with a grunt as that wound too begins to close unnaturally fast. Sera has an arrow soar towards her, but manages to evade it so quickly that Tanis barely has time to evade it, taking it straight to the arm. Hector and Florida are safely in cover, the arrows barely even reaching them, but Nobunaga is less fortunate as another arrow cuts a hole open on his arm as it skims past.

Tower
Turn One
Battle Theme ~Teleglitch Track 2~
Objective: Rout all enemies.

Miyu's presence seems to inspire the Blessed Emperor and the Dragoneer alike, boosting their speed. Even Mircea's horse is seemingly inspired, too.

"Then I shall attack first!"
With a loud roar, Mircea charges headlong into the group of approaching glass-like creatures upon his horse. A golden aura seems to surround him as he does so, empowering everyone nearby as his horse speeds up, before smashing his lance directly into one of the spiders. Despite its speed, it fails to dodge Mircea's attack and is almost instantly obliterated, shattering into tiny pieces against the emperor's mighty strike.

Leonidas follows suit, attacking another spider that attempts to crawl up onto Mircea from behind. His swipe catches the creature from behind, annihilating it in one strike as his strength is far too much for the fragile construct to withstand. He does feel as if his swipe was a little bit off target, however. Targeting another one, Leonidas is however too slow to do anything about it before Mircea turns around and impales it on his own spear, the sheer power of the impact destroying it in one blow. It seems that the two men are rather too strong for such feeble opponents.

Another spider crawls up onto Miyu, swiping at her in an attempt to hit her. However, her enhanced speed allows her to evade it, retaliating with a powerful slash, bisecting the creature entirely. Miyu remains cool as the halves of her would-be attacker fall over, shattering into transparent shards on the ground.

Crocoite hardens his armor, forming up a bulwark to avoid being damaged. Which, indeed, proves to be shortly necessary as every spider in the room proceeds to slash and claw at the Chrome Conqueror. The Silicate Stalker, predicting its enemy's move, sharpens its claws and slashes through Crocoite's armor, scratching his hard carapace. The hole opened in his defenses allows the rest to break in, slowly but surely chipping away at Crocoite as their numbers and pure strength wear at him.

The spiders outside, having had several of their number downed already, are more careful, grouping up on people instead of scattering. Miyu manages to get away fast enough, but Mircea and Leonidas are pressed almost back-to-back, Radu barely managing to make enough room to circle in place. The spider-like creatures leap upwards at Mircea, who manages to swat one away but is beset upon by the other two, whose talons cleave at the gaps in his armor, drawing blood from deep wounds. Leonidas is luckier, managing to push two of them away and only taking several cuts across his arms.

The sounds of even more skittering emerge from the forest.
>I sense there are more of them coming. You only have a while to prepare for their arrival, so brace yourselves.<
Reinforcements for the enemy will arrive in one turn.

Tanis looks between his allies and the assembled enemies, head panning back and fourth, expression unreadable underneath his ironwood greathelm.  However, he eventually comes to a choice, and raises his lance above his head, glowing with verdant magic.  Every plant in the area responds with enthusiasm, rising up to entangle the orcs and restrict their movements.  They even grow thorns and vines as needed to make themselves even more clingy, though they largely ignore Tanis' allies.  "Excluded Entangle!" Tanis shouts to complete the casting.

Florida raised an eyebrow as Scrak got up, and retreated to back within his cover. "Tough. Muton-like," he commented to himself. Arrows rained around him, but what he took more notice of was what he could see through his scope: those archers were doing a pretty fair job at punishing the others, and they had presented a threat to him as well. Aiming again, Florida took a breath in, and a breath out, a breath out, a breath in... perfect.

Without further commentary, Florida let his gun and his aim carry him into that mindset of seeing a threat, and shooting it, of delivering shot after shot in a fluid, almost trance-like series of attacks.

The pain was minimal, but the Dragoneer felt power beginning to course through him nonetheless. In all honesty, it would've been far better if he and the Rider had swapped places in that little exchange- with wounds like Micreas the energy pulsing forth from his soul would have only grown greater.

But alas, now was not the time for that. As they'd been warned, he could hear the skittering from the forest.

"It would probably be for the best if we regrouped before the rest of them got here. If you can charge a path back towards our fellows, I can clean up some of the rest as I follow behind you"

Mircea should once more use Emperor's entrance, and charge a path back towards miyu, trying to trample as many of the silicate striders as he can (while using his lance to attack any that try to leap up at him or his mount) along the way.

Leonidas meanwhile, will follow behind Mircea's wake, using Fangs of Avarice to destroy any Striders who get too close or try to split them off from one another, expending a will point if necessary (Leon's advantage: Draconian Rage is also active, granting him a bonus to his Strength and Resilience)

Nobunaga gritted his teeth. He just had to hold onto the projection for a bit longer. . . Ignoring the arrow in his shoulder for now (removing it would only cause more blood loss at the moment), he aimed one final shot at the nearest cleric. A high-pitched whine let him know that his Ars Armagus was about to cease existing in a rather spectacular fashion. He didn't want to throw the thing with a damaged shoulder, so he projected another device - a sort of mechanical launcher. He placed the depleted weapon on it, and promptly flung the cannon at another cleric before throwing the device used for the toss with one hand toward the same orc.

Expend Will Point. Sprint for cover, while firing from the hip. Try and get into a position where they don't have much of a firing angle. Hip fire more for suppression than offense.

Kumo, seeing the groups of spiders, pulls on the wristband around her right arm. Doing so, she activates Life Fiber Modulation mode, and slices at the group of spiders around Mircea.

The melee monsters don't seem to be a huge problem for most of the team - so far it's been the magic users that have been a real problem. With that in mind, Sera would attack the remaining Ground Cleric, aiming to eliminate it - or at least distract it so it can't use magic. If it's dead before Sera gets there, she'd instead attack the least wounded enemy she could reasonably reach.

Crocoite unleashs a bolt of electricity from its core, diffusing it across it armor to shock the spiders.

Fort
Turn Four
~Battle Theme: March to Deliverance~
Objective: Defeat Scrak Rainfire

Hector, spurred on by sheer will, wrenches himself off the ground and starts sprinting for cover, shooting off several bursts of ammo to cover himself. Indeed, many of the remaining archers duck to avoid the bursts of bullets, and Hector arrives at the nearest cover, a small grove of trees, without incident. It is rather well-hidden from enemies, but the angle makes it hard to actually shoot them without a bit of trickery or good aim.

Meanwhile, roots and vines erupt from the ground, as Tanis casts a spell of entangling vines to catch their enemies. Most of the orcs still on the wall escape being captured, as do Scrak and a few of his goons, but the rest are trapped by vines, yanked to the ground and held tight for the group to have at. Sera takes advantage of this by attacking the remaining cleric, who can't move! Her attack manages to smash straight through his armour, wounding him as he slumps to the ground, unable to fight.

Ryuko continues her rampage as she turns on her now-entangled opponent, eyes wide in fear as they attempt to remove themselves. No such event occurs as Ryuko, with sheer willpower, smashes her fist directly into their chest. A sickening crunch is heard and the orc slumps, screaming in agony from its now-broken ribs as Ryuko turns away to find another opponent, her accumulated wounds beginning to fully mend.

A hail of laser shots fly out as Florida's trained eye rains red death upon the now-trapped orcs, taking one out after the other. Almost all the entangled victims are taken down with a shot to the head, Florida's time fighting aliens having prepared him well for battles with orcs. A hail of arrows meets him in retaliation, but far too little are launched and they simply scatter around his shelter, getting nowhere near him.

Nobunaga attempts to make a throw with his mechanism, staggering as he does so. The pain must have made it difficult to aim, because his shot only goes so far, landing not far away from him and far away from his real target. He barely manages to shield himself with his uninjured arm before the depleted device explodes in front of him, showering him with shrapnel but not significantly hurting him. Another arrow is launched at the scientist, but he manages to evade that one quickly, throwing the remaining device he had attempted to hurl at the offending cleric at them. This attempt is more successful, as the cleric he hits is knocked over, wounded badly by the fall and the explosion.

Scrak spots the rampaging Ryuko and attempts to land another arrow on her to no avail, as she simply evades it with a slight movement of the head. Ryuko attempts to retaliate by leaping at him, but Scrak, despite his possible concussion, is able to counter by grabbing her mid-leap and throwing her aside into the fort wall with a roar, his heavy frame managing to catch her despite her increased strength and size.

The remaining soldiers attempt to regroup, staying clear of the vines and attempting to surround the now-encircled Ryuko. One of the two orcs protecting Scrak, having successfully evaded everything up to this point through luck or skill, start advancing towards Ryuko to hack her apart, while one soldier attempts to yank the remaining cleric up to safety. The other soldier launches an arrow at Sera, who manages to evade it by the skin of her teeth.

Tower
Turn Two
Battle Theme ~Teleglitch Track 2~
Objective: Rout all enemies.

"These glass creatures are but a trifle!"
Mircea crushes one spider that climbed upon him upon his fist, hurling the other one away from him as he charges a path back through the spiders, once more empowering his allies. The spiders attempt to keep pace with him as he gets back to the rest of the group, but his steed is far too quick and his lance even quicker, as the fastest one is shattered upon contact with a fierce stab with Perun.

Leonidas follows in Mircea's wake, shattering another two spiders with black flames, his wounds fuelling his strength. The remaining spiders shy away from the two men as they make it back to the group, gathering and waiting for their allies to arrive while skittering close enough to remain a threat.

Kumo descends onto the group outside, blood flowing into her Kamui as she begins lashing out at the nearest enemies to Mircea. She, of course, fails to do so, Mircea having managed to get clear of the enemies and Leonidas having slain any stragglers, but her help is much appreciated.

Crocoite releases a wave of electricity, shoving the spiders back that are attacking him. However, the Stalker and two others manage to escape his shock by climbing across the walls before leaping onto his back, rending his metal carapace with deeper and deeper wounds.

Five more glass spiders appear, ready to fight alongside their allies as they begin to encircle the group outside.

The sounds of even more skittering emerge from the forest.
>Another wave is coming. Be ready<
Reinforcements for the enemy will arrive in one turn.

>Ophelia, I'm going to make a break for it. Signal me as soon as they release their arrows.<
Wait for the next volley of arrows to be loosed (if one ever is). Expend Will Point. Sprint towards the fortress in a flanking position, readying to swing out and open fire on the remaining hostiles at mid-close range the following turn. The approach would be a gamble, but his foes were most likely preoccupied with Florida, Tanis and Ryuko. Once he's closed that distance, once he's in a more favourable range, things would get simpler. A lot simpler.
