(SG)The Federation
« on: April 20, 2017, 07:13:04 pm »

Mankind has just survived its fourth world war. the year is 2565, and they reach for the stars. Not with massive warships, but a simple ship. an exploratory ship.

What do they leave behind?
A: A world desiccated and destroyed. Mankind will not live here long, only in orbital habitats and perhaps Mars, will Man inhabit Sol.
B: A world scarred by nuclear war, mankind lives on Earth, but in very few areas.
C: A world untouched by nuclear fire.

Spoiler: What is this? (click to show/hide)

It's really easy to get into Coc; trust me, all you need is one taste of Coc and you'll be begging for more! I wasn't even sure I would like Coc until after I got a taste, and now I'm all about Coc!

Y'know, there should really be a better abbreviation for Call of Cthulhu.

As the ship flies through the warp, its engines shudder.

How is Faster than light Travel done?

A. It isn't.
B.The use of powerful particle accelerators to create tiny null-space holes that send the ship towards its intended destination at the speed of twice the speed of light or so.
C. Special, augmented individuals guide the ship through a dimension parallel to this one.
D. The Precursors left gates behind, each connected to another that allows relatively instant travel between the stars.

The dimension is known as the O-zone, and has many dangerous creatures. However, Every light year in year is 10,000 light years outisde the O-zone. There is only a void and dangerous creatures in the O-zone. And it is still unresearched.

A was already halfway written by the time you posted Puppy, apologies.

Calling it an "exploration ship" was like calling a continent an island.

It's a massive colonial ship with massive engine banks.

It took two hundred years to get to the colonial spot, a supposed spot where life flourished. But during the entire time, Quantum entanglement had let the ship talk back home, so to speak. It was called the Quantum Entanglement Communicator.

During the trip,

A. A horrific asteroid impact caused the halves of the ship to be isolated a hundred years into the journey, the QEC was destroyed
B.An alien parasite had given everyone in the colony a hivemind, all is one, one for all. The other side on the QEC stopped responding.
C. the Fusion process had an unexpected increase in efficiency, the journey was made in only a hundred fifty years. the QEC still functioned.
D. The other side f the QEC stopped responding and the ship was isolated.

for a hundred years, the ship was isolated. It was a bit strange, to be sure.

How was it strange?

A.  Religious belief became a primary facet of the colonies life.
B. Implants became the craze.
C. Drugs. Lots and lots of drugs.
D. A military coup resulted in a horrific dictatorship.
E. a rebirth in naturalism resulted in a banning of the digital media and shunning of any technology they could.
F. It became a psychopathic bloodbath with war being a constant.
G. Turns out, Psionics are real.
H. Nothing. it was perfectly normal.
J. Something else?

Soldiers were a commonplace, the upper authority has made sure of it, with an iron fist.

When they arrived at the new system, in the orbit of their intended planet a...

A. A world perfect for human habitation
B. A world covered in vast oceans.
C. A death world filled with horrific creatures and plants.
D. A vast desert planet with little water.
E. The world that was entirely barren, but its craters were deep enough to be able to sustain specialized colonies.
F. Something else?

However, as they arrived, something else arrived.
A. Aliens had arrived.
B. A comet had passed by.
C. A human ship, desolate and wrecked had been found in a stable orbit around the colonial destination.
D. Ruins of a past civilization were found, an outpost or perhaps a colony was found on the surface and around the orbit.
