Upon landing on the road, his shoes making sparks on he collides with the ground, Shadow looks up only to come face to face with another alien creature, this being one he's seen before. It looks like a starfish, floating through the air with many tentacles floating with it, and a single eye gazing directly into Shadow's own. "Shadow,", the creature says in Black Doom's voice, "From now on, my eye will follow you, and guide you. For now, exterminate these meddlesome soldiers."
"Not gonna happen, squid-face." Sonic says, "Shadow's helping me take you creatures down. Right, Shadow?"
This creature holds the secrets to my past. But I need those Emeralds, and I've already taken out some of these invaders. There are ways to get back to where I was, though, so, do I:
Keep following Sonic to stop the aliens? Westopolis will get overwhelmed, otherwise.
Break off from his path and grab the emerald? I can find out what I need to as I search for them.
Progress back and forth and kill the G.U.N Soldiers? If I appease Black Doom, I can learn who I really am.
Sorry for the short update. I found that all the combat would drag the game down slowly, so I've come up with a solution, but I can't try it out without your help:
Is it alright to break the levels into chunks, and have just a few combat rolls (one for each faction) to determine what happens? For instance, this chunk in the real game has several Black Arms. If I rolled for each one, it would take all day. So, one roll for Shadow vs all his targets, one for Sonic vs all his targets, one for the Black Arms vs all their targets, and one for G.U.N vs all their targets.
Also, apologies for the mission screen, but since the Dark representative has entered this mission, I wanted to double-check.
