I wanted it in mordor and they won't do it in war.
The ablity to play as an orc.
No that would be stupid right?
Not fun at all.
I have to play as boring as fuck no emotion Talion who has been crushed by Celebrimbor so he's just a physical husk.

No emotions? Talion was pretty furious about his family and he really wanted to kill gollum

Yeah but it feels like that manufactured story drama.

Put another way, Celebrimbro is an interesting character. Talion is basically his mount.

Celerybimbo and Ratbag were both drastically more interesting than Tallion. I wish Ratbag had as much screen time as Creambroth.

Yeah people are wrong! Talion doesn't have no emotion... he has exactly one emotion.

I would say Talion is a not-Aragorn. A blandly heroic guy not unlike most of the LOTR cast. Something one would expect from a LOTR-based game. Like I love Celebrimbor's ruthless, arrogant and contemptuous character (and I normally hate elves), but perhaps he's not exactly what an audience would expect for a main character in this setting? Just a guess.

And yeah, everything with Gollum felt very out of place. Celebrimbor should've been the first to tell him to sod off.

Yeah, Talion's problem is he a bog-standard do-gooder with a cliche, tragic raison d etre. Which we've seen in about a million video game protagonists. (He's also dark haired which is the look of the day for anti-heroes.)

Celebrimbro has a lot of those background traits as well but he has more going on in his skull than "Waaaahhhhh my family" and "Woe is me." Sauron killing his family is fuel for his ambitions, not the only fucking thing he thinks about. I about lost it when Talion almost cried after the last mission working with the resistance in Mordor and they're like "Talion you can come with us!" and he's like "I don't belong here....*moist eyes*"

Talion is enough but he's not compelling at all.

It isn't like being "Good" had to mean boring.

the problem is this flavor of good is... "Angry! ALL THE TIME!"

Honestly a lot of the time you might as well forget there is a difference between Talion and Celery Soup.

I like how Candybrimbroth is the new Benedryl Crumblebumble in this thread.

I can't seem to get a drunkard to appear in the Nemesis Forge. Are they a type that's not getting ported over? I wanted one as my faithful follower.

They do. I recently promoted one to my best man. I found one by attacking and killing every warchief + their bodyguards. After clearing the army screen once, a drunk eventually showed up in their ranks as a power level 3.

Oh, cool. I'll keep trying then. Thanks.
