Tir: Sure! Though it is -2 fate to help yourself, -1 to help someone else  :P Fire arrows(jar of pitch) and whistling arrows will take up your two inventory spots, so you are good on that count... Oh wait, did you mean making like a fire trap, like shooting a fire arrow into a bunch of tar on the ground??? That'd be cool, so -1 fate to flashback to setting that up (anybody can do this).
So the jar takes up the second slot. Hmph! :P

And Good for this! -1 fate. [2/5 remaining]

Kol takes part of the shield wall, standing at one of it's flanks.

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

The horde of beast men and Cimbri charge toward the hill, their calls and screams disconcerting.  There was no order, no plan in their attack. The Sea Wolves remained firm, and awaited with ready weapon and shield, and determination of steel. Jóra readied her arrow, tip drenched in tar. She nodded, and Skjære stepped beside her with a torch and lit the fire arrow. Jóra sent it whistling through the sky, and it landed right in front of the minotaur. It snorted, and tried to step over it. Then the rest of the tar caught fire.

A great fire exploded into life! It rose and consumed the minotaur, and rushed out, consuming many of those in the center of the horde. The minotaur bellowed in pain, and stumbled forward, covered in flame. It made it clear of the burning tar and then collapsed on the ground. Jóra and her archers cheered.

The shield wall did not have time to celebrate, however, as the leading edge of the beast men leaped to meet them in hand to hand combat. Einar blocked the axe of one ram-man, and his counterblow left his axe in the beast’s neck. Einar twisted and another quick blow finished him off. All down the line, the beast men’s disorganized attack was easily beaten off, the foe’s monstrous strength availing them nothing against the steady and determined shield wall of the Sea Wolves. The first wave pulled back.

A second wave rushed up to meet them. A few were burned, while the others navigated their way around the burning fields. Their fate was no better than the first. They were afraid, and did not fully commit themselves to the assault. The shield wall bore the brunt of their assault, and responded with blows of their own. Kol on the right flank was hard pressed by one beast man, a wolf-man, armed with two swords. It cut down one Sea Wolf next to Kol, and then it launched a furious barrage of blows at him, which Kol blocked ably with his shield, his face twisted in a grimace. It snapped at him, teeth inches from his face. Kol shoved it off, and upon its next leap spun to the side out of the blow, and the wolf man met only his sword, nearly cutting the beast in half. Kol spit on the corpse, and then returned to the fight.

The beasts attack stalled. From being awoken early and being burned from fire, they were making no progress against a numerically inferior foe. At this moment of wavering, Sihylde and the other raiders launched their counter attack. Streaming in from the flanks, they crashed into their disorganized foe. Sihylde swung hard with her war hammer, breaking bone and sending beast and man flying. A Cimbri rushed her with a spear, and she brushed his attack to the side with her hammer, and her return blow shattered his face, sending him down with a moan. She called out to Crom, and resumed her onslaught.

Soon the beast men were in full retreat, with most streaming into the woods. Their dead litter the ground, and only 40 or so out of nearly 150 beasts escaped. Only 3 men suffered serious wounds, and the rest only minor cuts and bruises The encampment lay before you.

Do you pursue the beast men into the woods? (Risky to Desperate)
OR
Focus on looting and burning the encampment?

"We've greatly thinned their numbers. Let's take whatever is useful from their encampment; Rodrick should be able to defend against the few that escaped, so let's not risk our men by pursuing them into unknown territory."

Loot the encampment!

Dang you guys rolled great this time again
((This'll hit us hard when we finally roll HORRIBLE :P
Also we have 1 casualty here. Goodness if it went any worse .-.; [I'm reading 'cut down' as in ded, instead of 'wounded' though, so I'm free to be corrected]))

"I did love the necklace you...found for me, but I'd still like to know where you got it, father."

Heal all the other folks. Go with the encampment looting!

((IF Funk/Silhyde is going after the beastmen, I'm going along with her--I believe Einar and Kol can loot enough anyway :P But we're literally 40 to...40. I think we should all do one action or the other at this point))

"Good point! So are we all for taking down the encampment (and taking what we can use)? I do believe that this will hit the beastmen harder than if we went chasing after them in the forests where we're disadvantaged one-on-one with the trees."

The Sea Wolves decided to let the beasts run and hide in the forests, while they loot and destroy the encampment. Several wounded Cimbri are taken prisoner, and any wounded beast men are immediately put to the sword. Kol takes the lead on looting the encampment due to his experience. About 6 coins worth of goods were found, in the form of looted crafts and coins from the beast men’s previous raids. The raiders begun to set fires and torch the encampment as the few chests of goods recovered are taken from the camp. The beast’s war barge burns brightly in the late afternoon sun. Though you have won this battle, you have the sinking feeling that this will not be the last.

Several options:

A. Return to the outpost, report your success there

B. Same, but move quickly through that part and head back home for experience and talking and stuff before next mission

C. Same as above, but lets just do experience points and go back a raiding

D. Woah mister, there are some beastmen who have not tasted my steel yet, we should hunt them down

E. Something else

6 Coins in loot! Burned encampment! 11 captive Cimbri! (Not really worth any coins though, too rebellious to be thralls)

Well in my head this battle was planned to have lasted another day or so, but you guys kicked ass harder than I expected. Unfortunately, beast men are not known for their great wealth or trade goods, so that limits the amount of coins you get from them. But its like pro bono work, it increases your reputation! Nice victory, Sea Wolves. What do you do next?

((I'm suspecting its utilitarian benefit was severely lesser than the benefit of burning it? Also culture and otherwise, it must've been hideous? :P))

Uhh...

A!
Gotta RP this out and have fun doing it because that fortress seems important, and could help our info for our REAL MISSION that we haven't started yet :P
Also how big is our newly crafted ship's hold? Or is this our old ship and that loot-ship is going for our next mission? Because we've...11 fate points sitting right there. :P

A is fine. Also voting to put as many Cimbri to the sword as needed for fate points. :P

A (I'll look out for laces we could build a fort on)

"We should thanks Crom for this victory!
Let us give him a gift.
You, your skull be his necklace.."
Sihylde tell's the wounded Cimbri as she draws a hatchet from her belt.
