New Artifacts Created in The Bridge of Dreams: 2
[spoiler] Datania Fortunelashes claimed the Carpentry Shop and built an artifact willow bin encrusted with basalt cabochans, bands of willow wood and horsebone, and menacing with spikes of macadamia wood and donkey bone.  On one side is engraved the image of King Stakereign surrounded by dwarves: The King's coronation.  On the underside is inset a picture of a round cabochon in alpaca leather. This singular bin's name is Scorchinggems, the Released Speeches.

Medtobo claimed the Carpenter's shop and crafted an artifact wooden grate encrusted in oval basalt cabochons, inlaid with bands of wood and menacing with spikes of Chrysoberyl. In the center of the grate in Pomelo wood, is the image of a capuchin monkey.  This "Monkey Grate" is named Charmine.

Are you allowed to request a clan?

You mean a pre-existing Clan?  After thinking it over, it might be doable, but I'd prefer to keep the pre-existing Clan names as they are.

If you'd like to request one of the pre-existing Clans, you'd need to become that family's "Patron Deity". 
Basically, you could tap one of the Clans to be "Chosen by a Minor Deity" (your name) and have that Clan gain a permanent +7 Prestige, the same as an artifact creation would have in a pre-existing Clan.  I suppose any number of Forum members could choose to be the patrons of a single Clan, each giving it a +7 bonus to Prestige.  However, because the Forumii are only Minor Deities, they will only be able to support one pre-existing Clan at a time.  Once they've decided to choose another Clan, the former Clan's Prestige will drop by 7 Prestige due to the abandonment.

I'll update the OP to reflect this new addition to the Prestige rules.  As a result of adding this new rule, both the Mate and Lemonpie Clans have just gained +7 Prestige. 
The rankings have been changed to support this.

That's not what I meant, I meant to ask if we're allowed to request that a clan which opens in the future gets named a certain name. Sorry about this, by the way.

Yes, that works too.  Say for instance, that you want the next Clan that gets named to be named something in particular.  That's doable.  I'd add the "minor deity" entry to it with your forum name as well, to elevate it above the smaller Clans until such time as you withdrew your patronage.
