Cog Pickgifts, first and last of the Pickgifts line, fell to his death down the oubliette in the Sheriff's office. 
Said Zuglari the pump operator, "Mr Pickgifts didn't seem himself this week. 'e just wandered around with a glum look on his face, holding that tattered leather dress."
He will be interred in the graveyard following a short service.

The infant, Siguno Laboredsalves, went missing and was shortly thereafter found by a rescue party... at the bottom of the well. 
According to ancient dwarven traditions from the time before time, he will be posthumously renamed "Timmy".  A memorial for him will be erected in the graveyard after a short service.

A newly created dwarf named Stodiri flew into a murderous rage after being unable to complete an artifact, but was quickly put down by Dorenia Laboredsalves who used her Militia training to good effect.  She will be interred in the graveyard after a short service.

Doren Fortunelashes claimed a mason's workstation and constructed an artifact mudstone armor stand covered in mudstone cabochons, inlaid bands of wood and twin spikes of rose gold.  In bismuth bronze is a picture of Searchrings the black mamba in a fetal position, relating to the drowning of the snake in the Waters of Void in the late winter of 16. Its name is Famousleaves.

Catteni the Mason claimed a mason's workstation and constructed an artifact mudstone coffer encrusted with mudstone cabochons and strips of leather from which hand rings made of rubber wood. Engraved on one side is an image of a trillion cut gemstone.  It's name is Chilledtaught, the Doused Connection.

Bembul Fountainbowels claimed a crafting workshop and built an artifact mudstone ring encrusted with round mudstone and harlequin opal chabochons.  The ring also sports an image of Uzol Stakereigns being crowned King of Mingtutherith in three types of wood, leather and bone. The top edge menaces with mudstone spikes.  It's name is The Twinkling Dipped Waves.

Bimia Paintcrewed, the Bridge Manager, jumped to her death in the oubliette after a bitter argument with Mayor Ingishi.  Bystanders overhearing the argument say it had something to do with the fact that the glass-working shop had yet to produce any windows.  She is survived by her grieving husband, Militia Commander Cog Paintcrewed.

Bomrek Wheelshoot, the broker, went missing this year.  His death was confirmed when a spectre appeared next to the well looking quite soggy and forlorn.  Bomrek is survived by his wife, Doctor Adilia Wheelshoot.

Olono the Leatherworker went berzerk after being unable to finish an artifact.  He punched Avuzi the spinner in the nose, and at her cry of alarm, Medtob Charmine came charging in from the Training Ground just outside.  Using the simple application of Dorf-jitsu pressure point fighting, Master Charmine lightly tapped the leatherworker's head with his index finger in a special place and the rampaging dwarf's brain exploded into pulp.  His body will be buried in Pickgift's Memorial Graveyard after a short service.

In the wake of the Paintcrewed suicide scandal, the position of Manager was claimed by Datania Scorchinggems Fortunelashes who gave up being a Militia Captain to do so.  We congratulate the Fortunelashes Clan on their good fortune!

After the memorial service for the late Bomrek Wheelshoot, Doren Famousleaves Fortunelashes claimed the title of Broker, cementing Fortunelashes as the most powerful clan in The Bridge of Hailing.

The widower, Commander Cog Paintcrewed, insists that his wife did not commit suicide.  Instead, he insists, a capuchin monkey demon maliciously triggered the release catch of the trap door on which she'd been standing, sending her to her doom.  This assumed monkey demon has been called by Commander Cog and his small group of conspiracy theorists "Trappedtunneled".  They even had the theory printed on her tombstone.  No one else, however, saw the little primate.  It's a mystery!

Febia Boundroom claimed the carpentry shop and constructed an artifact round wooden table.  It is encrusted with baguette cut opals, inlayed with a complex pattern featuring two types of wood, bone and leathers, the rim features hanging rings of wood and menaces with spikes of bismuth and opal.  In the center of this table is inlaid a basalt image of cut gems.  This magnificance is named "Clutchtins".

Lori the Jeweler claimed the jeweler's shop and shortly thereafter produced an artifact perfect levin opal named, "The Problem of Seeds". Carved into the gem is the image of Adili, who died of thirst in The Bridge of Hailing during the year 18.

Tholtigi Laborrealease was appointed "Realm Champion" by King Summitprinces after she came out of hiding.  This sudden reappearance removes Clan Agecanyon from its monopoly in Fort Lashtrance, which they're not too keen about, but that private grumbling is overwhelmed by the good tidings that Clan Laborrelease is no longer presumed dead!

By custom, every member of the clan must be sword-wielders. Although, there have been exceptions such as Dimor the Mighty, who wielded the legendary axe, Mullsore. Of course, this was before Dimor read the forbidden book Zulton, and became a necromancer.
Every 10 years, or at the event of the current wielder of Rosywander's death, the members of the clan come together, they have a 6-day long(to symbolize the 6 days Olon the Lucky travelled the Vault of the Angels) tournament, and the winner wields Rosywander until the next tournament.

OK, so I've had every other origin story include elements from the game that are actually in the game or could be added to it via these message boards pretty easily.  So to make the Rosywander Clan have this backstory, we need to have Olon the Lucky be a weaponsmith who makes an adamantine sword.  With the naming system we have in place, "Olon" will have to be a married male, otherwise her name would be "Oloni" or "Olonia".  That sword will have to be given to one of her (or his) children after they come of age, who will then have to have children of their own to inherit it.  One of her (or his) children will also have to be named "Dimor the Mighty" and he (due to the naming convention) will be an axedwarf.  As an axedwarf, Dimor will need to somehow read a forbidden book of necromancy, (which means there needs to be a book written by a necromancer, possibly one named Zulton because necromancers love to write about themselves.)  There also needs to be some kind of site called "The Vault of Angels" that we'll need to set up somewhere along the way, before Olon (or Olonia) dies, so that she can travel through it.  The six day Clan Tournament every ten years (or upon the wielder's death) is a good idea to add to the culture of the game as flavor: I'm thinking that after Olon (or Olonia) dies, there will be a Quest generated every ten years to bring invitations to all of the Clan members for the tournament.  Maybe the tournament will be held in the testing arena by proxies that have the same attributes of the various living members of the Clan - each of the six days could be divided up into "duels" with the victors advancing to the next day until the ones who remain on the sixth day have an "every dwarf for themselves" melee to determine who is going to claim the sword for the next ten years or until their death.

Lots of work, but doable.  Don't expect it to happen overnight though. 

I think what I'll do is once I have some admantium mined and smelted, I'll que the job to make an admantium sword at a blacksmith's shop where the members of the other Clans have already been forbidden.  The weaponsmith who makes the sword will be renamed "Olon" or "Olonia" depending on their gender and the rest will be a kind of prophecy, to be fulfilled as the RNG allows.
