Three bunnies emerge from the hole in the wall. They appear to have mechanical backpacks attached?
One of them is building something.

(I did not move the arrow as it is not aimed at one of my units.)

Yeah that's why these games tend to be a mess and die a lot.

As the rest of the expedition enters the cave, they notice movement from above.
One elite soldier, accompanied by two pikemen, takes a closer look at what seems to be a bunch of mechanoids, while the other one peeks into the tunnel below, making out some kind of gate in the distance.

"Be cautious. We are not here to fight, but to investigate", Aroth tells his men.

The bunny engineers continue building. What looks like some kind of bridge or platform is starting to form.
Meanwhile, another bunny decides to scout as another one enters the map.

Suddenly, the entire cavern shakes, plenty enough for everyone within to feel it. Then a low but great voice echoes throughout, punctuated by grinding stone within the walls.

"You who enter this sacred ground beware, for your presence is not permitted, leave now, or soon die."

Then, near the door, two shapes burst forth from the cavern walls to either side of the door, leaving the floor littered with rock and debris, they have three legs, two in front, one in back, and are shaped like cubes, with one bright red gemstone in the center of their front face.



A blue glow emanates from within the holes, and the ancient golems turn towards the door, and project weak beams of red light into its eyes.



(enter the temple guards: basic units of the Ancient Tech faction. They have decently powerful laser beam attacks(about the strength of a strong pistol), and are made of refined and reinforced stone, making them hard to break. However they can't jump, climb, or anything of the sort, so the only way they can get across a gap is with outside assistance, and they can only fire in a small cone from their ruby eye. Their greatest strength however, is that they can simply pop out of temple walls, I'm only going to have four of these guys at the absolute maximum in this game though, plus one or two of my flying golem unit, and maybe one of my heavy golem unit)

Work continues at an alarming rate on the structure, Its true nature will soon be revealed.
One of the bunnies decides to examine the strange noises.
Another bunny spots a humanoid holding a dagger.
A small mechanical device is entering the map near the bunnies.

(Please remove the alarm emote on your turn.)
(Further more, I did not clean up the golem laser effects as I am not sure how long they are to be focused on the door.)

On the left, on the cliff side with the altar that's supposed to have the Elder Sign floating above it. My archer shot an arrow at one of your robots, too. Near the mushroom. If you zoom in, you can see the arrow.

Watching the weird brick creatures shooting lasers made the men slightly cautious and they decided to set up a mobile energy wall. The crystal will supply it for about half an hour, until then the lower tunnel was secure.

In the cave above them, the rest of the group moved further into the cave, only two of them guarding the tunnel they came from.
Aroth took some device from the chest and activated it. Someone trained in its usage, like Aroth, could make out energy fluctuations caused by open dimensional rifts and thus make out their position. The soldiers watch the mechanoids above them closely as he begins to stare into the glowing energy beam shooting between wires attached to the device intensely.

from what I can tell, it's meant basically to mean "I claim this turn, I will be posting my image once it is complete"
