You are the king of Khaz Nolvar, home to inventors and engineers of unmatched skill.

Year 3260, third age of dwarves, monty of granite.

The royal advisor gives you some mable slates engraved woth the kingdom's status.

[diceroll]2, 5, 5, 3, 6[/diceroll]

Population: 2
Happiness: 5
Money: 5
Army: 3
Relation with high king: 6
The army and the populace were quite drained by the civil war, but as long as no - one takes any chances, everything should be fine. The high king, however, seems to favour your new position.
The advisor speaks up:
"Sirre, our population is dangerously low, and if I were you, I would strike some kind of deal with Khaz Ivom, or some halflings to get more food."
A: We shall purchase food from Khaz Ivom.
B: We shall purchase food from the halflings.
C: We shall purchase food from both.
D: Naaaaaah.

Our relations with our fellow dwarves are good. We are likely to get a better deal from them than we are from the halflings. Or something. I don't feel like spending too much all at once.

If this is Warhammer-inspired like it seems, halflings are best foods guys.

It was not directly inspired by warhammer, aside from the technology and runes. The names are a mixture of dearf fortress dwarven and tolkien dwarven, and I'm taking all the rest of their culture from The Dwarves, since it's the only story I've ever read which actually describes dwarves in detail.
But no matter where you find halflings, they will always have food.

You send traders to purchase food from both halflings and dwarves.

Year 3260, third age of dwarves, month of slate

The trading, combined with migrants from the other fortresses, successfully raises the population by some.

Year 3260, third age of dwarves, month of Felsite

The advisor comes running to you, this is evidently quite urgent.
"Sire! The crundles are being driven from their homes by forgotten beasts, and are going to be upon the lower halls soon! We must do something!

A: Batten down the hatches, put up defenses, and hope they hold.
B: Send the army to defend the lower halls.
C: Abandon the lower halls, They are already as good as lost!

Our army is under strength. Even against crundles, they may struggle.
We also can obviously not just abandon the lower halls.
Fortify it is!

You announce that the lower level shall have it's defences put up to scratch against the thousands of incoming crundles.

[diceroll]5[/diceroll]

One or two regions are breached, but the tide of crundles mostly ignores your lower levels, intimidated by the defenses.

Year 3260, third age of dwarves, month of Hematite.

Things mostly go smoothly for the month, trading continues as excpected.

Year 3260, third age pf dwarves, month of Malechite.

The crundles have begun to spill through cave entrances, and are now gathering together.
[diceroll]3[/diceroll]
They have begun gathering in medium - sized groups, and could possibly pose a threat to above ground settlements.
A: Send the army!
B: evacuate sone of the more endangered areas
C: They're crundles, they're not that big of a deal.
