I Might Be At War With Humans Now

So a bunch of humans came to trade. I gave them plenty of trade goods and bought loads of cloth, then they left. But as I watched them depart, a pack of hyenas attacked them and knocked over the wagons. They had to leave without their stuff.

Are we at war now? Will they send sieges?

Probably not.  I've seen dozens of caravans destroyed in a similar manner and have yet to have war declared on me as a result.

However, I have friends that have had it happen, so it's possible.  Unlikely, but possible.

In any case, I believe you won't know until you get your next caravan from them (no war) or receive an attack of some kind.

Thanks for the help! I'll probably end up just claiming all of their stuff and keeping it for myself. If I'm feeling nice, I might actually give it all back to them when they come back. But I'll probably just give them their armor back.

You can melt that.

Also in the next update we can deliberately cause wars.

I concur with the general attitude of "If you are not sure, kill more humans until you are sure".
