TURN 11




Landing Craft 1

Keep suppressing people while I wait for my medic to get unfucked

Well, the medic is in little bits on the sea wall. He ain’t coming back from that. “BRING OUT THE BANGALORES!” [4] The boys with the bangalores come up and do their thing. The boom of the torpedoes rocks the beach and throws barbedwire shrapnel into the air. It rains down with a pattern. Pvt. McManus looks back up the cliff, searching for any exposed Nazis to suppress. [4+2-1=5 Vs 1] A group of gunners start trying to set up a nest. A short burst of fire gets their heads down. They retaliate by trying to toss a couple of grenades down to the beach. The 'Nades are hit by a couple of stray shots from the boys on the cool side of the sea wall. The grenades bounce back into the nest where they explode, killing the whole group. [1] The soldiers from LC5 move up, including a medic squad. But they pay no attention to the man laying in the sand with his broken leg and his now empty BAR.

Landing Craft 4

Anyways, lets go a bit further down the wall then retrying to steady and aim.

Before Pvt. Wonderland could make it too far, he hears someone yelling. “BRING IN THE BANGALORES!” [3] The one closest to him explodes in the wrong spot and doesn't take out enough barbedwire to clear a path. [5] Wonderland crawls his way along until he finds the perfect sniping spot. He sets up and has a perfect view of Nest 2 and several Nazi outposts. Absolutely perfect.

hunker down rechamber another round and calm the fuck down

Hunkering down, Pvt. Frank chambers the next round. He tries to calm his shattered nerves in a feeble attempt to gain some accuracy. [3] It doesn't help, but also doesn't make it worse, so that's okay.

Landing Craft 5

(didn't have wifi access yesterday, sorry)

Call for a medic. Be loud.

((No problem. Happens to everyone.))

[3-1=2] Just as Pvt. Dukes goes to scream for a medic, the bangalores start detonating, so he's drowned out. Then the medics on the front go on without him. [5-1=4 Vs 2] The last medic through hears Dukes’ plea and comes back around. Looking at the wound, the medic does a good patch work on his leg and checks his concussion.

Take cover and destroy Nest 2

[4 Vs 3] Coming from around the sea wall, Pvt. Stauffenberg aims at the last remaining nest. He looses the rocket which goes true, taking out the gunner inside. On the cliff, two Nazis aim their MP40s down to the sand and lay down suppressive fire. [6 Vs 4] Stauffenberg dodges right into the barbedwire. It gives him a couple of cuts, but he's otherwise unhurt and he's behind a bit of cover with a mound of sand between him and the Nazis. [3+2=5 Vs 4] The rest of the boys make it to sufficient cover to not get slaughtered and avoid getting suppressed.

1st Airborne Division

Capture the remaining nazis, using my quick reflexes (as usual) to not get hit.

[5+2=7 Vs 1] The SturmGewehr Nazi fires without taking the recoil into account and accidentally puts a round in his buddy's skull and three more in his other buddy's chest. Shouting in some sort of gibberish that is curiously​ able to be understood by his friends and the Nazis, Pvt. Grey screams at the Nazis to surrender. [5 Vs 3] They begrudgingly comply.

2nd Airborne Division

Swan dive gracefully into the pond!

[5-2-1=2] Attempting the fabled shoreline swan dive, Pvt. Winters slips and falls into the tepid water. [6885] Nothing happens immediately, so he's sure it's nothing.

Lt. Lucy

LT: Escape from Wintergreen's bio-text! Then, shove a random nazi into it!

My status still shows crazy penalties. Not sure if mistake, or if medic rolled too low.

In any case, regroup with the landing party and take cover.

Yeah. That was a mistake alright. I think that occurred when I was changing classes and failed to notice that I hadn't changed it.

keep watch on that nest and make sure it doesn't start firing again.

hopefully this is a 'do nothing' action. but if they do try re-manning it I will be shooting them down as best I can.

TURN 12




Landing Craft 1

Get one of the medic's attention. Reload.

[2] Trying to get the attention of one of the other medics, Pvt. McManus is drowned out by the roar of the soldiers passing by and up the path. They run by and ignore the clearly injured man. Pvt. McManus reloads his BAR. [4 Vs 5] He sees and is spotted by two Nazis! The fire at him [1 Vs 1], hitting McManus in the heart. They obviously didn’t learn from the previous group to shoot at McManus and fall to their deaths.

Pvt. Wonderland watches Nest 2 and waits. His hopes are that there’s nobody that comes in to reinforce it. [4] He sees two ammo boys come in looking for the gunners. [1] One of them decides to go back to get more gunners and the other grabs the gun and begins firing. [1] His barrel swyas across the beach as he takes out his feared enemy. One of the bullets finds its way into Pvt. Wonderland’s skull. He’s dead before his face hits the sand.

[6] Pvt. Frank hunkers down in his cover as his blood boils. He puts his rifle up on top of this cover and gets hit with one lucky bullet, right in the foot. Putting on his best war face, he fires his rifle at Nest 2. [4+1-1=5] He hits the gunner in the face, exploding the back of the unfortunate Nazi’s head with a red mist. His victorious hit is punctuated with a yell of ”HERE'S ONE FOR FRITZ!!”

Landing Craft 5

Regroup with the landing party and take cover.

[3] None of the bullets had hit Pvt. Dukes, but there were a few that got a bit too close for comfort, so he takes the new sudden lull after the gunner’s death to move up with his boys. [4-1=3] He’s unable to get anywhere in particular. It’s a combination of those on the cliffs and his own injuries, but Dukes is unable to move further up the beach. [2] He takes cover behind a little sand hill. It definitely doesn’t help, but that’s more or less okay, as the main gunners are dead.

Reload

[4] Pvt. Stauffenberg avoids getting hit by the gunner’s wild bullets and reloads his bazooka. He remains in cover as the people on top of the cliff fire down. [3 Vs 3] Their bullets smack his cover uselessly, but he’s kept in cover.

((Roughly ten to twenty.))
((And don’t worry about spelling errors from doing this on a phone. I usually use my phone for updates, as I don’t have access to a computer at home except on the weekends.

[3] There aren’t any more in direct sight. As this is how it is, Pvt Grey moves his squad up through the trench to get to the bunker and disable it. [2 Vs 4] They see a single Nazi boy, about fifteen or sixteen, carrying three ammo cans. After a tense moment of staring at each other in shock, he screams for his comrades in German. “HILFE! ES GIBT AMERIKANER HIER!” He then runs off screaming the same thing over and over. [1] He loses his helmet but keeps running. The boy, continues to scream until he’s hit by a Nazi sniper. [6 Vs 5] The sound of running feet can be heard above the trench wall. “Berechnen!” They are in a very compromising position, but moving in fast. There’s probably about six.

2nd Airborne Division



[3948] Pvt. Winters stands in the water, unmoving. He starts to feel the effects of the water, he feels empty inside. [3 Vs 3] Nothing really happens to him, but the water shows that some bullets from the battle are hitting nearby.

Lt. Lucy

LT: take that sword, it is probably magic.

LT:Do a backflip.

He can still miraculously breathe though. [3272] His skin magically teleports three feet to the his left. It doesn't hurt him, but he definitely should get that back on. He also sees that all of his organs are gone, except for his brain and eyes. He has no skeleton, but his muscles are held in place by a mysterious force.

   [4-3=1] Since, he’s in orbit, Lucy cannot toss the ‘nade down to the car.
