How many stolen wealth I need for kobold ambush to be possible? I tried to "feed" kobolds by placing stockpile of finished goods in outside, but thieves seems to never interested in these items, and almost never get away with item.

I don't know the answer, but if you try to entice the kobolds you should probably use very valuable bait, such as high quality (but not masterworks, or you may suffer masterworks loss issues) trap components, optionally encrusted.

I've had great success with gem encrusted buckets, and metal-decorated featherwood stepladders. Everything steals them, kobolds, sure, but also giant grey langurs, kea men and women, and anything else that happens past.

I'm now visualizing an ambush of sword-wielding giant grey langurs tearing through my hapless woodcutters.

Currently got the giant grey bastards (thankfully not wielding swords) worrying my sheep every now and again. I've set cage traps, and I'm trying to capture and train up a breeding pair of them. They do quite enough damage without weapons, thanks.
