Horror Time
What's this?
Horror Time is an RTD game where players choose their starting scenario and try to survive as long as they can, or until the horror ends. With theme dependant on scenario, players are thrown against horrifying creatures, beasts, monsters, undead and alien nightmares, with little to none defense at the beginning. Can you survive until the horror ends?
Rules, character creation
Standard RTD 1d6 setup.
1 - epic failure
2 - failure
3 - partial success
4 - success
5 - epic success
6 - overshot
Epic failures and overshots usually come with bad side effects, while epic success brings good side effects. Failure and partial success come with less dire consequences/effects.
Health and stamina pools can't be increased. In addition to points, locational damage system works, with getting wounded in some places taking more health points. Organ and artery damage can be especially deadly. Encountering all the monstrosities can have bad influence on your character's sanity, which brings stuff like hallucinations, dwindling it down further and leading to suicide.
Stamina, sanity and health slowly recover on their own. Normal recovery rate is 1 point per turn for health and sanity, and 5 points per turn for stamina. The recovery rate can also depend on scenario chosen. Scenario dependent items can restore more or all of those points.
