Bleeding profusely from the stabbing he'd received at the hands of the skeletal swordsman, William struggled to push himself up off the ground, only narrowly being knocked straight back into unconsciousness by a stray arrow.  Fortunately, he'd fallen asleep reading, and his books were readily available.  Else this might have been even more uncomfortable for him.

: "Perhaps you should ask that Alain fellow over there?  Given the fireworks, he seems to have started an impromptu midnight festival.  Heavens know why these damned things go up so well; they're made out of bones.  Even the unusually strong interaction of fire with the forces animating them fails to explain it."

The sound of bone rattles and fire wakes Aaron up from his slumber. Groggy and annoyed he gets up off the ground and picks up his nearby bow. Looking back behind him he sees his mage friend on the ground, he seems to have had one too many sword strikes to the face.


"Hey Alain, you should use your fire magic... oh wait... you're bleeding out on the floor..." He spoke half asleep. It him a couple of seconds to fully understand what happened to Alain.


"Oh gods! Blasted undead really got the drop on us." He wish he could help the mage but he had no medicine on him and their sleeping comrade was in the way. Rather then putting himsel out in the open he took aim at a skeleton in front of him and aimed for his skull.
