Hera shall not shy away from the call to arms, though she shall not be present on the front lines. Rather, some of her retinue shall be sent to assist on the front lines (1 Medium is deployed) whilst some stay behind in Fort Knot to defend it (1 Medium fortifies), with the remaining light infantry serving as security for the field hospital she establishes.

Spell slots will be filled as follows: 3x Regeneration, 12x Healing Touch ((I think I did the math right)). She uses these to aid in serious but survivable cases, keeping 1 Regeneration in reserve in case a fellow mage gets seriously injured. ((I don't know how often, if at all, spells refresh, but assume she spreads uses out across the campaign in the most efficient way possible))

Traditional medicine will also be employed, as there will obviously not be enough magic to go round.

Archmage Raelius would join in the war, alongside a group of the army's well-trained archers. He would wear a suit of medium armor, while wielding a large shield and short sword.

All possible slots would be filled with Conjure Barrier, which he would use to create impromptu cover for his unit with his magic.

(If we factor in our artifact as adding to our base power, which I have 6, that means I can have 10 three-cost spells, because I believe we can trade high level spell slots for weaker ones)
You are correct.

I'm afraid you only have one medium unit and one light unit, I forgot to add the number in your spoiler. Your math works out right though.

I can just set laser to all my spots right? Also, should we specify armor and weaponry as well?

You can fill ten slots with lasers (your level three and up slots) as you have no spells that cost two or less, they'll have to go empty.

You are welcome to specify what equipment you want to use. If it's unspecified, I'll pick something sensible.

Ah, in that case, forget about the garrison for Fort Knot. It'll be fine without it, probably.

Lumier dresses in a set of full golden plate armor. Of course it's just gold plated steel, Lumier isn't about to go into battle without real protection. His armor has decorative elk horns on the helmet. The whole set is designed to eventuate the swarming glowing lights of Lumier's house artifact. He also has a long sword with a golden hilt.

Just because we're mages, doesn't mean we can't dress like kings.

Typically dressing like a king means you get targeted first :P

It also means the enemy survivors will go home to their families and their people and tell stories of a golden glowing man who killed their men with beams of light. I'm fine with the attention.

rather than go out with the king's army, I stay near the seal and guard it. I slot my shield spell and remain vigilant.

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.

I think you made a mistake in my spoiler. I haven't learned conjure barrier from Dustan yet.

Antonius will answer the call, and accompany his troops to battle. He brings a small group of archers and a medium amount of foot soldiers.

You said something about getting a heir, you could feasibly in a year turn get a child from a NPC and also cater for my child, I got to do some researching. Is this exchange favorable for you?

Sure, I see no reason we should both have to waste 10 years.

While we're raising children, can we also train them at the same time? Or would that be a separate action?

I don't think you have any soldiers. Maybe a few bodyguards. I specifically spent a year receuiting soldiers, which is why I have some.

But on the subject of children, my offer to split the raising of two children (one each) with someone stands. We can either do 5 and 5, or do alternating years.
I'd be having a child by an NPC, since I don't want to confuse the inheritance.

you had discussed learning the spell, Dustan had space for an extra student and you had some unallocated time. I felt it would be mean to not let you do it

At that young age,  no. They can begin magical tuition from age 10.
