THE ALMIGHTY DUCK
« on: March 21, 2017, 08:05:54 pm »

So i was playing in my main fortress Staticceilings the Realm of Despair when a horde of cave crocodiles marched into my fortress and most likely would have murdered everyone if it weren't for one hero duckling who saved the fortress from the cave crocodiles he i kid you not fought off all of the cave crocodiles before succumbing to his wounds i was shocked and after getting past the dwarves obsession with burying a random cavy boar i finally got Kogan Eturbedan into his rightful majestic tomb! i just had to share this story with you guys! :D

The Sentries are still fighting the capuchin. For two monthes they have done nothing but punch this monkey.

Although this is epic, Ducks are actually well-known Heroes amongst the Dwarves.  Something about trying to fly and then not causes their opponents to doge into magma and cavern pits.  I swear there is a HoL story about that.  Anyways, protocol now demands that you share pictures of the Tomb of Hero Duck.

Mallards are surprisingly mighty creatures, especially when raised as a corpse by accident.

Wow. I'd love to see the tomb!

I had a duck who managed to kill several dorfs by floating in the water at the top of a very high waterfall.

I've not had one go into battle before though, other than the one that was thrown across the map by a rampaging giant (he also threw several cats, geese, many dorfs (tearing off their clothing in the process, and throwing the clothing as well) and anything else that went near him. The duck did not survive.

Other people might have a less convoluted explanation, but here goes:

Step 1: Upload the picture to your chosen host (mine is Photobucket, but most picture hosting sites work the same way) and look for their handy image address after it's been hosted.
Step 2: Hit "post reply" in the appropriate discussion.  There is a button below the Bold button above the row of smileys in the "post reply" screen. It says "insert image". Use that to make the html for inserting an image, then cut and paste the image address from your host into the middle of the html. Check you've managed it with Preview, and then hit Post.
