Elind was born in Blede to a farmer and a nun, near the border to the heartland. The couple met over religion and taught their two children, Elind and Arfir, the same ways. Like the other children in her town, she was taught how to farm and take care of livestock. However, unlike most her mother still practiced magic, thus she got to see the wonders of it from a young age.

Before long, Elind’s own interest in magic grew. Her mother showed her many different spells and taught her about the different types. One day, Elind decided to see for herself. She grabbed a tome that her mother said was a “cantrip”... whatever that was, and attempted to cast it. At first, nothing happened. Over the next few months, Elind tried again and again to cast the spell, but to no avail.

What she didn’t realize was that the tomes were still reacting, she just lacked proper training. Her mother walked in on one of her practice sessions, and seeing the book react to her failed reading, immediately made plans to send her to the mage academy. Before long, she said goodbye to her friends and family to begin her studies.

Like her mother before her, Elind’s studies were in the magic of the gods. She wasn’t a particular prodigy, but she did well. She was eventually was sent to one of the local churches to continue studies and service to her god(s? Not sure). Somehow, she got from there to being in prison awaiting execution. Thus, her journey begins...

Bio: Born around the coasts of Rasparol, Fey was raised under the constant threat of bandit raids and the like. Rather than hide away, Fey took up the axe and fought against oncoming bandits, much to the dismay of her parents who did not want to be any more involved than they already were. Since she still did care for her parents, she decided to leave home, with nothing but her axe keeping her company. The next decade of her life started off as she took over an outgoing ship and became a pirate. From there she began to muster up a crew and cause havoc for many a trade ship, boarding unsuspecting ships and avoiding capture. As the war with the Wastelanders began, Fey had little concern for them as they didn't pay her much mind. As the war went on and imperial ships began to patrol, Fey and her crew decided to ignore most of the fighting and take their own raids elsewhere.

Bio:
The Empire promised glory. The promise of serving one's country. The promise of protecting its citizens. But there were no one to warn the young and the innocent, of the wrongdoings of the country. Fooled into these promises, Elysia enlisted in the army with dreams to be a hero, just like the generals of the army. Her family and peers were against the idea of doing so; Elysia was such a soft-hearted person by nature. She was easily excitable, and treated everyone around her equally. It puzzled anyone who wondered why she wanted to do so in the first place. But it was for the people. Her family and friends back home.

To become someone everyone could be proud of.

But what awaited her was only an illusion. Dutifully, she continued to carry out order, believing them to be for the sake of the Empire and its people. But the longer she served, the more she felt she was forgetting her true goal. She only had questions she had no answers to.

Bio: Edmund was born in Heartland to a family of mages. The influence of dark magic on him turned him into a cold, calculating man, interested in anatomy, curses and hexes. A loner in later years, Edmund wasn't above any means to obtain what he wanted, and became a hexer for hire, traveling with various mercenary bands and gangs to keep them in good health and their enemies in pain.

Edmund has lived long despite his antisocial nature, or maybe thanks to it, as he hasn't kept any affiliation to whatever criminals he may have helped and avoided landing in jail, at least until recently. But he isn't yet ready to give up and die, so he's ready to do whatever it takes to get out alive and continue with his plans.

Bio: Zephaniah was a strange little boy. At first he was like any other; cute and sweet, always looking for a laugh. But as he aged, his quirks grew more prominent, and even worrying at times. Like contemplating what happens when you die (hint, it involves horrible torture for the rest of eternity) or attempting to kill and eat a neighbor's steer for the "experience", for example. Though he mellowed out quite quickly in his teenage years and his perceived obsession with death mostly faded.

That is, until one night. Zeph came inside from his daily tasks to find a robber threatening his terrified mother for what meager few coins they had. The man had no idea he was there... his father's skinning knife rested on a nearby table...

Killing a man was quite easy, Zeph realized that day. You just have to stab him hard enough the first time. It's like cutting a roast. Except for all the blood, though. That's a pain to clean up, and then you have a whole body to get rid of. At least his parents helped with that part.

The whole ordeal didn't affect him that much, truth be told. Zeph was the same man he was before, even years later as he left home to become his own man. The only thing different from before was that Zeph knew how easy it was to get rid of a person... and, in time, how much people would pay him for it.

Bio:
Zachary was born as fourth son of a retired soldier who once fell in love with inn maid in a random village which then became their home. Zachary is a soldier, who likes swinging his halberd, but unlike his father, he likes being a soldier as well.

He was hired as a city guard. After some time, the unnerved commander re-assigned him elsewhere. This has continued for about four months, each of his officers unwilling to keep him in his team despite the fact that Zachary knows his bladework pretty well.

Then, Zachary got into a big trouble; a routine bandit removal job turned awry and Zachary had blood of three of his fellow soldiers on his halberd. His weapon confiscated, his rank stripped, he was thrown into jail, awaiting verdict, and, possibly, execution.

Re: Spy Weapon Proficiency: Yeah, I dunno. With the exception of Troubadours, all other first classes that have proficiency in multiple weapon categories have (D) across the board. I imagine that you're still supposed to choose what to eventually specialize in, even if your skills are even across the board at the moment. I see no reason to change this for one class when other people are sticking with all Ds.
