For the moment, you turn your attention away from your insides. Maybe you can philosophize a bit. Figure out the meaning of your life...

What is your purpose in life? Honestly, you're not even sure you have one. All you can do is think... and mess with your insides a bit. On the other hand, maybe you just haven't discovered it yet.

What is your third moon? You have no idea. Actually, that could be important.

Do you deserve to die? You don't recall doing anything that could lead to you deserving death... or doing much at all, really. Regardless, you're on the path to death.

Do you want to die? Heck no. Existence appeals to you greatly.

Why does existence appeal to you greatly?

A: It just does.
B: You don't know.
C: Because it is inherently valuable. Your life is inherently valuable.
D: Something else?

C2:

Life is inherently valuable, thus the other doomed world(s) must be rescued: lest their destruction diminish the conviction upon which rests your own drive toward existence. If their lives are worthless, than so is yours. Thus, you must find a way to save them, possibly including the one you don't get along with.

The answer is clear now. Because your life is inherently valuable. Because life in general is inherently valuable. Or sentient life, at least.

So... perhaps you should try to determine if the other planet being drawn in to a star is sentient? And how?

A: Yes, let's try(how?)
B: No, let's do something else(what?)

A: Yes, let's try telepathy.

This is a tough one. I can't really think of any good way

A: Yes, let's try observing them.

A: If we are to determine the status of the other, we must know if the other is capable of demonstrating this. Or the other may already be demonstrating this, but in a way we cannot recognise.

Is there something we can do (...change the appearance of a hemisphere? ...transmit an electromagnetic signal at one or other wavelength?) that the other might detect? Is this something that we could detect from the other? If there are mutual methods, the choice has to be made.

A1: Stay our own hand, until we see signs of something from the other. (Then decide whether to follow through.)
A2: Be as obvious as we can, hope that the other (first of all) can see this and (secondly) will respond in kind, towards a constructive dialogue.

(It's a bit of a Prisoner's Dilemma, but staying schtum and ignoring the other might not help at this point. Whatever the point is...)

You've decided to observe your counterpart. If they are sentient, maybe something of that will reveal itself to you.

Observe, Standard(3)

Well, if they are sentient, it's not immediately obvious, though trying a bit harder to focus might work better. Your visual senses grow less and less precise the further away something gets from you. If only there was some way to improve them.

Alternatively, you could just try communication.

A: Try communication!(how?)
B: Keep watching.
C: Do something else.

C: Observe our moons and change tilt to get a better angle of observation.
