You go out to see what horrors did the slayings.


You and a trusted war band go out to find slaughtered cows and a half eaten farmer. They claw marks. Burrow holes and the fact you caught one in the act reveals their nature.


It's Bulletes. Or Land Sharks. As you and your men find the creature you slay it with javelin in the mouth. Taking the body. You now have options to do.

A: Go back and find help to hunt the rest. For tracks mean more than one.

B: Send one man as messenger while the rest including you stick it out and attempt to flush out the rest. If can slay alpha. Rest will be lame.

C: Set up bait with life stock to try to flush out to see how many are around. These things feel the Earth and smell the prey.

The beasts feel the vibrations of the coats and come. One of them is greatly larger than the rest. It is time for combat though only one fell for a snare trap. So the others including big one are still active.
