off topic, but what was the first forum site you really used? for me, it was the roblox forums, specifically the off topic subforum, since 2015 (until it got removed because the staff couldn't understand the greater internet fuckwad theory, in which case i used the closest thing after the late july 2017 forum merge, the roblox news and discussion subforum, which unsurprisingly wasn't as active because it made a lot of the active forumers quit the forums, and had a lot more of a shitstorm caused by it because you should not merge 3 subforums into 1 when the userbase of said subforums hate eachother and expect good things to happen, eventually in early december the same year, the forums in general were removed because the staff were surprised when they realized this just made the forums worse), and i met a lot of my online friends on that subforum, it was fun

GameFAQs. I became really active in their Smash Bros Brawl board's leaderboard. It was super fun, and I was really good with my character. It was character based, you fought either of the two runner up's, then if you won and took their spot, you could challenge the champion. The defender of a title would set the rules. I was the Yoshi champion. And then I trolled the hell out of my challengers by putting Smash Balls on. Good times.

When it was vaguely announced/implied a new Smash Bros would come out, having just come from the storytelling high of Brawl's Subspace Emissary my humble smash bros rpg took off and consistently had 10 to 20 players mixed of new and returning players. Threads had a 500 post limit, and the series ran for many many threads. GameFAQs was also where I played Mafia for the first time. Showing me how much emotion and excitement can be squeezed out of forum games.

To not make it a super frequent topic in a while, let's wait 24 hours since this post. Eventually, we'll see this topic rarely.

Also, I just want to make a general apology for skimming past this two years ago. (°-°* )
